zocken is no adverb but a clear verb or noun/substantive

I know many people who gamble and say "Gemma zocken" doesn't have to be judgemental.

I would never think of “gambling,” maybe a fruit or something like that!

The first one is uhkapeli. This is probably more close to the actual meaning of gambling. Although translating it literally takes away its meaning. Uhkapeli would translate into threat game which gives the wrong impression of our version of the word.

The other word we use is rahapeli which simply refers to a game played with actual money.
