How good can any starting hand really be that loses to a pair of deuces if it doesn't improve itself on the board?

But, please, you guys keep going all in with it and I'll keep turning out those "terrible suckout bad beats". :eating:

almost call all the time

i call almost all the time, its a coin flip situation heads up, i will lay it down if there are 2 or more players already in on a large raise or a all in call .

AK

Ak is a hard hand to play. I think you either hit with the flop or not. I always bet big pre-flop with this hand

Is there a flaw in this thinking?

If you're sure the other person has a pair but it could be any pair, it'll be AA or KK about 15% of the time, in which case, you're a major dog. The rest of the time, it'll be a coin flip. So, if you think the odds of the opponent folding if you raise, plus the chances of him / her actually holding less than a pair are 15% or more, that puts you even money or favored to win the hand.

If you're sure the other person has a apir then why would you stay in? A-K looks nice but it sure doesn't beat a pair of dueces
