I'm all for reentry and rebuy tournies. Playing in those ACR Satellites put on for major events are essentially unlimited reentry with 3 hours of reentry available. I'm someone who has no bankroll, but even I can take advantage of the format. When you see players who are willing to rebuy, you just gotta shift your playing style, treat em like cash game players which can allow you to amass a good deal of chips while they are in their "get my stack up quick" phase.

Unlimited re-entry ournaments are the best, only when you're locked at home and they are no way to escape 😂

Maybe for new players is good practice, but not serious, i think when you know that can re-enter again after losing everything, game like this becomes to be like a lottery

This thread hits a nerve with me. At my local casino, pretty much all of the tournaments are "re-entry" tournaments. This in itself is not bad, but they always allow re-entries through the first 8-12 levels. I think it's ridiculous to have such a long re-entry period. The last time I played, re-entry closed after level 8. The bubble burst at level 12. Again, this is ridiculous. I think it would be perfectly acceptable with stopping re-entry after the first break, which is usually after level 3 or 4. Like others have said, long re-entry periods change the game drastically. Players are more likely to risk their entire stack during this period. Unfortunately, I have to deal with this since I don't see many freeze out tournaments at this casino.

personally i don't care for rebuy tournaments. I think if you can't make it with what you start with then it just isn't your time to shine,.

with re-entrys the danger exists that one gets into a whirlpool and uses money uncontrolled again and again.
But if I'm winning, I'm happy about the players who push the money over my shoulder several times...

This is a great format for the tournament because you have a few odds. + of this format is that the prize fund of this type usually grows with each re-entree

:) It is so good that when you take off from a tournament, you get a new life, and you do not expect a month of exactly the same tournament, with almost the same composition of participants, and life is short).

I don't like it very much, specially because I like to play free tournaments. So, people go to all in with such a terrible hands - and sometimes they win - only because they can buy a ticket again. Sometimes it is more luck than fair play.

What is your opinion on unlimited re-entry poker tournaments?

Do Unlimited Re-Entry Tournaments Help or Hurt Poker?

I do not know whether they are good for poker in general or not, but they are bad for me. Playing on a limted bankroll, it is hard to compete early on with players who are firing multiple bullets. They can just a lot of extra chances to accumulate chips early on. If I am in a multiple rebuy tourney and find myself at a table with multiple rebuyers willing to go several bullets deep, I almost feel like I have no shot. That is why I generally avoid these type of tournies. I am sure I am not alone in this thought.

Unlimited Re buy is good but we need to count on luck in the beginning to plunder after administering the moves
The luck factor helps to plunder course played with right hands give greater chance of success but then always need luck and enjoy playing poker with skill to reach ITM and who knows FT
Therefore you need to have a certain control bankroll to avoid excessive re-entries

Increase the variance in the first hours on one side of the scale, but a larger prize pool at the end of the tournament on the other side of the scale. I think everyone chooses for himself. There are tournaments without re-entries.

ACR gave me a 6.50 ticket. All the eligible tourneys have this unlimited reentry feature. My question is, is there a time limit to the reentry? I.e., limited to the first hour, two hrs? Anyone know?

Thanks

(I only play freerolls on ACR. No idea about rebuy and reentry rules there.)

In this modern era of online poker, you can basically rebuy an unlimited number of times until the close of late registration, which can vary from 2 hours to 5 hours in most of ACR's tournaments, you just have to read the tournament lobby but the idea is you can just jam and jam all day on ACR, the more rebuys the merrier. :D

I do not like tournaments with re-entry, when you do a re-entry you are already at a disadvantage.

You do not have to re-enter !!!

I like it when players re-enter a lot because everytime they pay and the prizepool is higher :)

I think those formats are little bit differet to play than usual restricted rebuy games. Alot of players think they must generate a big stack to play this type of game. If you have low chips its hard to fight against this players. If you play this unlimit rebuy, you must have rules. If you do not have this rules, you possible overinvest your bankroll. So give you a amount of buyins you would make and on the otherside a limit how low the bb are down for your last rebuy. Also you make some calculation how you play to generat alot of chips with a high risk or play solid poker.

Favors big bankrolls.Creats looser play. It's fun to go deep in these games with no rebuys.

My experience is unlimited rebuy means giant prize pools for events. Personally I like having bad players continually rebuy to build up a prize pool.

opinion

Such tournaments are the worst idea of poker rooms. With such a structure of holding tournaments, the very meaning of poker disappears.

I don't think it's good for the game. It encourages pros / people with money to gamble to spin up a stack. I also don't think it makes the prize pool that much large since more fees are probably taken.

I would agree Unlimited Reentry\ Rebuy are bad since the average buy-in for players would be higher than FreezeOut or Limited (2 or less) Rentry. It would be tough for players doing Bankroll Management Strategy since they have to play small Buyin Unlimted Reenty\Rebuy to Freezeout\Limited Reentry MTT.

Tournaments with re-entries are great, in addition to fattening the prize gives a second, third, fourth and even fifth chance for players who have lost all their chips....
