hey guys, quick question I just got back into poker and heard from a friend about the terrible day black friday. Was just wondering if someone out there could answer a couple questions I have... Does anyone know the time table or probability of online poker being legalized in the U.S? Also is it true that you can play sites such as Fulltilt and pokerstars if you live in canada without any trouble..? Thank you for your time guys

There is no timetable for US players - anyone can make a wild guess but it is probably years away. Canadian players can play at most sites.

Play money games are running currently. The software feels as good as I remembered. Got a nice boost to my FTP point cache from Academy points and Ironman medals being converted.

It's a shame bonuses don't stack anymore, but a small price to pay for the return of the king (and our bankrolls).

If you earned Full Tilt Points at any time during 2011, you may have pre-qualified for an Edge status level based on one or more of the following three criteria; your level of play (your 7-day, 30-day and 100-day rolling points averages will be taken into account), your achievement of Black Card membership or your Iron Man Challenge status.

Also, anyone who achieved Black Card pre-takedown will automatically start at the Diamond Edge level with a minimum of a 50-day grace period, and there are longer grace periods depending on how long you maintained an iron man status in consecutive months.

Downloaded the software again last night and was pleased to see that my account balance was exactly as I thought. Not sure why I doubted this but I was delighted to see it was correct. Really looking forward to getting back onto FT. Good luck to everyone who is going to be playing there.

Nice. So basically I'm garanteed diamond edge status for a whole year as a former long time ironman. Makes playing on FT a better than on PS.

But on the other hand the rake structures are pretty different. 5% with $3 cap on FTP, 4.5% with $2.80 cap on PS for small stakes. Meh, still makes FT better in my case I think.

ok so downloaded the software and went to cashier and saw a balance of 0!! This happen to anyone else?

The site wouldnt let me download from .com and .net said wait until the 6th but I am impatient so I downloaded the .com using Hidemyass could this be the issue?

I guess the software is not "live" yet since you are not able to download it until the 6th. I wouldn't be worried unless they said your real money balance was $0,- in the email they sent out with information about the relaunch

well it is my real money balance that says 0 but like you said may just be an issue with the software for now. I will wait until after the 6th before I pursue this since if I write support now they may want to know how I downloaded the software from .com when I am technically not allowed to.

just reread what you said I never got the relaunch email as the account that was linked to it is no longer valid(that may be the problem as well) but I have changed the email address on it so maybe it can be straightened out.

Of course it may not matter as the DOJ doesn't seem like they are in any hurry to pay us and I only had a little over 100 dollars anyway

At the very least, a guaranteed year of Diamond Edge will definitely allow for some time to figure out which site ultimately has the better kickbacks for different player classes before committing to it. Black Card is supposed to come back to FTP after being restructured in a couple months as well, so that will be something to keep an eye on. Whether the new Black Card will be ridiculous to reach like SNE or attainable by mere mortals like the previous one remains to be seen... but it does seem like with the Edge system they are trying to keep the rewards mechanisms similar yet distinct to target different player pools.

Hello, you are in the USA and will not have any balance. The DOJ has your money and don't hold your breath on when we might get it back.

If i remember right, US players should see their balance yet, but can't withdraw or play with it.
