Full Tilt

I'm glad this issue is being resolved finally and I hope that Full Tilt will be done fore ever. Everyone affiliated with that site should be ashamed of themselves. I think people deserve jail time.

Erm... you do understand that poker stars is bringing Full Tilt back as Full Tilt, right? The site itself is quite the opposite of being "done forever" as a result of this deal. Different management but it'll still be a separate site.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading in one of the Q&A sessions with an FTP staffer that rakeback would actually be staying / going back to how it was before the shutdown.

IIRC the thing that won't be coming back (at least not immediately) is the FTP Academy and its associated bonuses/rewards.

Never put the effort on the academy so not really care, but rakeback staying would be great.

Thanks Oz.

ps: Nice to see you around, still not playing?.

Full Tilt Assets Arrive in Isle of Man

“Thirty tons” of computer equipment arrive on PokerStars Island, flown in on military aircraft.

WOW! That is amazing.

My family used to mostly play on Fulltilt and they liked it way more than pokerstars. I still have $45 left on my GiftCard so I might keep it for playing on Fulltilt when it opens. I tried to deposit on some other sites but my card is not working. Maybe I am supposed to play on Fulltilt and fate will see me winning a tournament hee hee hee.:dontknow:

No probs - like I said, that's just my recollection from the interview with an FTP staffer (on the "other" forum) so it may or may not prove to be 100% accurate by the time they relaunch.

I'm still not playing online (entire online bankroll was tied up on Full Tilt) but I'm getting out to play live games at the casino now and then. $2/$3 live is so damn soft... :p

I had an account on FTP back in 2006, but then I stopped playing online right up until after Black Friday....I caan seee now Ipicked the wrong time to make a comeback
I also doubt US players will get an opportunity to play for money again on either FTP or PS until are legailisation issues are straightened out in D.C....but, here's hoping

There's no doubt about it - neither site will be offering real money play to US players until there's a change in legislation.

I think people just enjoyed all the fish FTP attracted

i played on FTP bro i just dont understand all this hype
Just sayin' what you're thinking (in first quote above) I'm pretty sure isn't the main reason. There are many sites open to ROW that are much softer than FTP 'was'. So (imo) one would assume what you were thinkin' might not be the case.
Actually my experience was that Fulltilt's tables were tougher than other sites. Might be due to there having been a fairly large % of players on FTP who were from US (pretty sure most USA regs. played on FTP.. as well as Stars obv., but Stars seemed to have more balanced traffic with ROW... ie. BF didn't crush Stars where it seemed to have knocked down field sizes in FTP's mtt's by ~ 2/3. eg. the $23,500guar 'KO' became the $7,500guar... Stars' guarantees didn't change anywhere close to that).

you're kidding right?

I guess we're going to be seeing a lot of this since they just sent out an email informing all the uninformed.

To interject something a little fresher, anyone have opinions on Gus Hansen being the first to sign on again with Full Tilt? I hear he is primed to be the face of the site.

Also, PokerStars is in beta testing of "PokerStars 7", a new and completely redesigned lobby client. I'm not sure if it will change the way tables are presented, but many comments are saying it is taking a step in the direction of the way Full Tilt presented its lobby.

Lastly, I haven't been snooping too much into the details, so does anyone have info on what's going on with rakeback?

Nice to see FT back in my inbox...

This is an important account update from Full Tilt Poker for player: KILLERKANUCK

Dear KILLERKANUCK,

Full Tilt Poker will re-launch under new ownership on November 6th, 2012.

The Rational Group, which owns and operates PokerStars, acquired assets of Full Tilt Poker in August 2012 and appointed new senior management to re-open and operate the site as a separate brand to PokerStars, providing the online poker community with another high-quality poker platform.

Following re-launch, you will have complete access to your account - including your full balance - and you can once again play on the innovative online poker platform that made Full Tilt Poker home to serious online poker players.

This means you'll soon be able to return to the Full Tilt Poker games and tournaments that you've known and loved for years, secure in the knowledge that your experience is now backed by the same account security and game integrity that millions of PokerStars players have trusted for more than 10 years.

Full Tilt Poker now operates under a license in Isle of Man, which is among the most trusted and rigorous e-gaming regulatory jurisdictions in the world. The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission maintains vigilant standards for e-gaming, particularly the safeguarding of player funds. Information on these standards can be found here.

Since August, we've been carefully reviewing all Full Tilt player accounts in preparation for re-opening. In the coming weeks we will be completing the restoration of all non-US player accounts including yours, in preparation for re-launch day.

What this will mean for you:
normal access to your Full Tilt Poker player account with your current password
renewed access to all Full Tilt Poker real and play-money games
access to your total balance without restriction, including withdrawals
We thank you for your patience during this time. We will update you further as re-launch day approaches. For more information please see our Full Tilt Poker account FAQ.

In the meantime, we welcome your feedback and ideas to help make Full Tilt Poker your number one poker site - please click here to visit the feedback page.

Sincerely,

Full Tilt Poker

Is anyone else kind of bummed out that the Iron Man system looks like it's finished? The Full Tilt front page Q&A says all Iron Man medals will be converted to player points when they reopen, as will any Full Tilt Academy points.

I guess they are probably going to be going with a more standard VIP kind of reward system instead. Iron Man was interesting because it rewarded not only volume but loyalty and perserverance.
