As discussed in another thread here about winning having a pleasurable dopamine effect and the stress of losing being harmful to your health, cortisol and all that...wondered if anyone actually loves this game be it win or lose? Certainly a easy game to love when you bring your A game + luck (running hot) being on your side...
On the flip side it completely sucks losing hand after hand no matter what you do, like just now I had J9 and my opponent had the same only suited... we both flopped a straight, our chips ended up in the middle and opponent ended up winning with a flush on the river. What can you do??? 🤔 after the initial shock of it and being laughed at by others I returned to my normal inner calm.. these situations hurt a little but I really am becoming quite strong inside when it comes to losses. I wouldn't say it stresses me out, so probably not doing any damage to my health.
My aim is to stay 100% Cool if I lose, no matter how long im losing for, or who im losing to...even if it's a complete donkey. I'm definitely getting there. To love the game no matter what!
