Hi everyone!

Tilt is something that every poker player faces sooner or later. It can happen after a bad beat, a long downswing, or even just when things don’t go as planned at the tables. Personally, I’ve noticed that sometimes I start playing more aggressively than I should, or I make calls that I would normally fold, just because emotions take over.

I’m curious – how do you deal with tilt?

Do you take breaks and step away from the table?

Do you have some kind of routine (like breathing exercises, listening to music, or writing down hands)?

Or maybe you’ve trained yourself to just stay calm no matter what happens?

Would love to hear your thoughts and maybe pick up some useful tips!

Good luck at the tables!

HELLO. tilt is an emotion you don't need in poker, but you are a human being with feelings, so you have to train yourself that it is just a part of the game all you can do is play your best.

Here's the English translation:

I want to share with you how I deal with negative emotions. It is important to be aware of your feelings and understand their reasons in order to control them. I try to practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing to calm down in moments of tension. It also helps to switch to other activities that bring me joy and distract me from unpleasant thoughts. At the end of the day, this allows me to stay calm and make informed decisions.

For me, tilt is one of the toughest parts of poker because it creeps in quietly and suddenly changes the way I play. When I catch myself tilting, the best thing I do is step away for a while, even if it’s just five minutes, to reset my head. I also try to remind myself that variance is part of the game — bad beats don’t mean I’m playing badly, they just happen. Reviewing hands after the session instead of during it also helps me keep emotions under control.

Tilt’s tough, but I try to catch it early. If I feel myself getting frustrated, I’ll take a break, breathe, and remind myself bad beats are just part of poker. I focus on making good decisions instead of chasing losses. Some days, the best play is just walking away and coming back fresh.
