Sometimes, poker makes us angry. When we lose with a strong hand, we feel bad or want to play angry. This is called “tilt.” Tilt makes us lose more money. How can we stop tilt and feel better?

Stand Up and Walk
After you lose a hand, get up and walk for a little time. Breathe. This helps you feel calm.

Stop playing for some time. Eat something, watch a funny video, or do some light exercise. This helps your mind become fresh.

Tell Your Story to a Friend
If you feel angry, tell your bad beat story to a friend, your pet, or write it down. When you share, you feel better.

Use Positive Self-Talk
Say things like "I stay calm" or "I can handle this" to yourself when feeling upset.

Remember: Bad Beats Happen to All
Tell yourself, "Everyone who plays poker loses sometimes." You are not alone. Even the best players get bad luck.

Do you have other easy tricks to stop feeling tilt? Share your ideas and tell your stories. Together, we can help each other stay calm and win more!

Also, how many have you lost big with better cards, such as pocket AA? And what did you do next?

Winning and loosing is part of the game.. if you are loosing more, it means you need to improve your game- may be learn more. I am sure, you will reach there one day. 🥰

Take a break for 1-2 days
Not a bad one but it would be difficult for me not to play for 2 days straight 😂

I get that it feels hard to stay away for a couple of days — poker can be really engaging, especially online where the games are always running. But if it already feels “difficult” not to play, that might be a sign to keep an eye on balance. You don’t have to stop completely, but setting limits (like only playing certain hours, or only joining a set number of tournaments per week) can help you stay in control. Taking short breaks can actually make you come back sharper and less tilted. It’s better to treat the game as a marathon, not a sprint.

When I lose with AA, I want to kill and I'm not kidding!

You go all-in and already dream of winning, and your opponent answers you with garbage and wins...

These are indescribable feelings, you want to smash everything in the apartment, you want to crash your computer and throw it out the window...

It's good that I live on my own, otherwise someone could fall under the hot hand ::crazy:

If it's just a simple anger issue, do something else and completely forget about poker for at least three hours.
Then, if you come back, start with a strong hand and continue like that.
Good luck :)

I have been playing poker for 10 years and accept that wins and losses are part of the game. Of course I happen to fall into a tilt. It is best then to interrupt the game if you can.

I must admit I used to be like this. The number of mice I threw against the wall or out of the window was crazy. I have done some crazy things. I do think we are going the right way, cos by writing it down, as Rahul has said, makes you realise that to do these crazy things is just that crazy, and it ends up costing us more money.

I get a drink, make a coffee or cold drink, and just chill before I look for the next game.

Good luck with getting over tilt - some of the best pros we know have their ways, but I bet some of them are just like us and place a £20 note in a jar and use that as a swear box. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
