Hey CardChat family, 💬
Lately, I've been dealing with what seems like an endless string of table defeats. 🎲 No matter how well I'm training, studying ranges, or following bankroll management, it often ends the same way losing the hands expected to win.
This is not just about badbeats (although they can also be painful 💔), but also about moral damage. Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in this vicious circle:
Once I play consistently, but I still fail.
The next day I try again, telling myself, “The variance will level out,” but the losses keep rising. 📉
I know that long-term results, math, and discipline are important in poker. But I can't deny that constant losses not only test your bankroll but also your spirit.
👉 So my question to all of you is How are you personally dealing with these downturns?
Do you take breaks? Are you studying more? Upgrading to lower stakes or freerolls to shift your mindset?
Sometimes I remind myself that poker is a marathon, not a sprint 🏃♂️💨. But at the same time, watching your efforts fail over and over again can be overwhelming.
“Failure is not the opposite of winning, it is a step towards victory.” 🌟
I'd love to hear your experience and advice — maybe your words can help me (and others here) overcome this storm and grow stronger. 💪♠️
