Definitely live. Since I was a child I've loved playing cards. The feel of the cards in your hand, the sound of their being shuffled, the feel of the chips and the way they sound when you are riffling them in your hand or tossing them into the pot, and the entire sensory/tactile experience. Not to mention the social aspects of playing with other humans.
Live poker is also where the memories live. My parents teaching me as a child to play Saturday night before
Gunsmoke came on. Games with co-workers at someone's home or in the warehouse office on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. The Sunday morning group at Foxwoods. All of the nice people I've played with in New Hampshire. Sound effects on a machine can't match the laughter, joking, meeting interesting people, and wonderful discussions that you'll find on a live table.
