Let's take as an example one poker game with 1000 players, $100 entry fee and 100 prize seats and let's play this game 100 times.

How would you prepare for this poker marathon and what would your odds be?
It is difficult to predict what the results might be. There are many factors that remain unknown. For example, we don't know the format of the tournament, we don't know its structure, we don't know the level of players who will participate. In general, we can talk about any predictions at least after we play at least 20 such tournaments, then it will be more or less possible to predict the outcome of the remaining 80.

To begin with I wouldn't buy into a game for that Price unless I had a bankroll of over $10,000. Now that is a Poker Bankroll that I only use for Poker, Don't get me wrong I have Bought into the odd game costing me $50/$100 but never On-line, and they were Special Live Events.
But to do them everyday would be too much for my BR balance. You do get better players at those kind of buy-ins, So experience goes a long way when you are playing them regularly. Personally I don't need to make money from playing Poker because It will only ever be a Hobby for me, but at the same time I want a Hobby that pays for itself. If it was costing me money, I would certainly think long and hard about doing it at all.
I feel the secret to being a profitable player is to set your boundaries, stick to them religiously, and don't try to fly before you can walk. I have had some bad days where I couldn't make the money in any game I played, I have also had days where I made the money in every game I played. But sticking to a Strategy that works for me, means I am never losing more than 10% of my Bankroll in any one day.
If you deposit $100 Dollars. then playing anything over $10 buy-in is just Dumb! Stick to buy-ins that are 1% or 2% of your deposit and it gives you something to work with, and Yes it is work, Hard Work! But if you are passionate about trying to make a living from the game, then you have to be aware of your losses as well as your Victories!

Often, a competent player simply becomes a victim of his own inability to adapt to the constantly changing conditions of the game.Wanting to earn money with poker, each player should initially set the goal of gaining an advantage over their opponents. It doesn’t matter what limits you play – $0.1/$0.25 or $25/$50, in any case, before sitting down at the table, you should clearly understand what your edge over the field is.Anyone who argues their inability to make money through poker by strengthening the field will never be able to look objectively at the true reasons for their failures and become a winning player.

It is not very clear what the prize structure is. I think my chances would depend on how this prize money is calculated.

Spin a coin? If we are talking about no-limit hold 'em, the lunatic who keeps raise, raise, raise will probably fare better than you.

I'd look to get staked for my buy-ins and prepare for some mind-numbing high variance poker against presumably skilled opponents.

I don't have any special preparation for the game. I play whenever I have free time. Usually, if I play in 10 tournaments for $1, then on average I get to the ITM in three of them. This is an average.

Perseverance is what sets you apart from other poker players, and the money to be able to play, of course

It's enough to triple my stack and then play carefully until I get a monster hand or the opportunity to come cheap from the button with cards like “AQ”, “AJ”, “A10”, “KQ”, “K10”, “QJ” (preferably one-suited). Well, if there will be from 3 to 9 BB left, I will go all-in with these hands (provided that I will be far from the prize zone). This is provided that I don't get a monster hand during the whole tournament. When I get a monster hand, the strategy of the game varies depending on many factors. Most of the time it is creative and hard to describe in patterns.

The key to victory is to learn from your own mistakes.
Trying to predict the outcome is quite difficult, but if you are a disciplined player and follow bankroll management, you will have to try hard to lose your entire bankroll :)

I will never lose all my money because there is always a chance to earn more while I am alive

Your approach to limiting daily losses and playing within a small percentage of your bankroll is a solid strategy to minimize risks while still enjoying the game. It’s great advice for anyone looking to maintain a healthy balance between playing for fun and playing smart!
