Your advice on late registration?

If you are entering a tournament with late registration, at what level would you prefer and how many Big Blinds would you feel comfortable with at the time of registration?

Quite happy with 12.5bb if reg. is closing at that point (say level 12)

depending on the buy in and format/ i try not to rebuy pkos unless its 60bb+ but for vanilla tournaments i dont mind max late regging 10bb up to $30 but anything over that id want 40bb minimum. Remember if you rebuy its like playing a whole new tournament. Its good to cap your bullets if you are using a rebuy strategy too .

Usually the latest registration starts at 10BB I don't like being that short but will if there is also a 20+BB add-on coming up quickly

In general, I don't like late registration and try to register for tournaments before they start. But if, for example, I have a ticket and it's about to expire, then, like most of us, I will register as early as possible, the sooner the better

I would not necessarily be comfortable with few BBs, but late reg forces one to play super aggressively...sometimes you are one and done, sometimes you triple up and have a deep run.

I'm always trying to reg on time and play from the very beginning of the tournament, especially if it's bounty tournaments.

Using late reg to hop in whatever bounty tournament might not be bad idea after all cause that way several creatures should be already on the brink of elimination and therefore since their stack is pretty much non-existent it shouldnt be that hard to "steal" their bounties..
However it's probably completely different situation if you late reg to some bounty event and end up in the same table with runaway chip leader ...

I generally avoid using latereg, just book the next tourney and have less variance and more time to earn chips

The later you register, the more everything will depend on your luck. In my opinion, 20 blinds is the minimum, but this game will be more like bingo.

MLR (max late registration) in the last seconds,usually enters with 12bb, with a push fold strategy established.
