I couldn't find an approach to both. That's why I chose only one area, tournaments, and focused on them completely.

In cash games raising hard and/or going all isn't necessarily a disaster or the end if it goes wrong, in tournaments it will make a lot of difference.

I play simple TAG+exploitive strategy when I have a deep stack in MTT's. I play the same style in cash games. It works well for me because I don't play 6 max cash....I play full-ring as most MTT's are full-ring tables.

The only changes I make for MTT's is when my stack is under 40bb and for ICM.

I think you should choose one direction and develop in it, something you prefer, and just play another for fun, if you want. I think it's going to be hard to study two at the same time.

MTTs are just like cash games but a bit looser and 100 times more complex with different stack sizes and ICM being a factor.

If I have a big bankroll and I can afford 200 buy ins I might play tourneys or else no . Only sometimes for fun some very cheap tourneys or cheap sats or very good tourneys from special promotions . Cash games if I decide to play I will play zoom . I have no patience for classic normal cash games . And I hate seeing other players abandoning the table when I start winning .
