Yes.. the being there in person has a lot more information available. Actions in real life are different than just clicking a button.

real money i ( you laid out ) in front of you is different than computer virtual chips.....

You may have noticed that online poker is very dynamic. The blinds are growing quite fast, every 5 or 10 minutes. In addition, playing online you can play several tables at the same time. Live tournaments are not so dynamic and it will be difficult to play at several tables at the same time :)

In addition to, what has already been said, stakes are also usually much higher in live tournaments. You cant play live for a dollar, like you can online. Rake is typically higher as well, which make something like $100 live tournaments essentially unbeatable. Or at least so I heard from people like Bart Hansson, who makes a living from live poker training.

I like online tournaments much more because I can also play many more tournaments, since live it is impossible to play more tournaments, just one, so I prefer to play online tournaments of different modalities.

Yes, there is a big difference.
The game is slower, you have to watch what you are pointing at the other players.
You can read the other players.
I think it is much more fun, more exciting to play live.

hands per hour is a major difference ---travel costs and time--- Giving away tells live is very important as the skilled players have a lot of time to study you.

Online you can only read the person by their actions in the game, the time it takes to take an action and the BBs they are betting on, live there can be much more information so it is more difficult, in my opinion, to take action, also one thing that bothers me about live ones is that it's difficult to count how many BBs you have or are betting, but I think it's a matter of habit to play more online than live

95% of my games are online, it's more practical, you can play from anywhere, there's a huge variety of tournaments. But I still prefer live games, there's nothing better.

It's very different, with many more distractions, disturbances, noises, more factors to add to the reading of opponents. In short: more fun.

Online MTTs with a slow blind structure — 15 to 20 minutes — seem closer to live tournaments, but still, I think more hands are played per hour in online events. I haven’t played live tournaments yet, it's still just a dream for me. For now, I don’t have the opportunity, and the situation in the country is difficult.
And of course, when you're playing live, you can see the players' reactions and behavior — you can even talk to them, flirt with words so to speak, and engage in a kind of battle of minds.

I think if you want to prepare for live tournaments, you should play events with a slow structure and two-day formats, like the Sunday Million or something similar. On Americas Cardroom, there are even slower tournaments. You need to be ready to play for many hours a day.

the game is very different live, mainly due to the extra bluffs and aggressiveness.
