Cash game is a better fit for me, because I can better control the times I play.

I like and I play them both. I prefer a little more the tournaments, and more the faster of them.

I think that each one can have its advantage and disadvantage, if you try to compare you can say that at cash tables you can control your time more to play, if you want to invest only 20-30 minutes to play and try to leave with a positive balance, on the other hand in tournaments it is playing until you are eliminated or until you win the tournament, I also think the following at cash tables you run a greater risk of losing your investment than in a tournament, that is, I think there is more risk at cash tables because if at a table you say: I'm going to sit down with $5 and what you lose comes thoughts like I would have played 2 tournaments of 2.20 and 1 of 1.10 or invested in several tournaments, you should also think that you like to play more, in which you feel more comfortable

Cash games used to be the obvious answer if you were good enough to earn money since deep-stack poker takes more skill than shallow stacks.

Now most recreational players have left the online cash games (except maybe the nano-levels), and MTTs are still pretty soft but the variance is sky-high. So online you can make an argument for tournaments if you play high enough since cash games over 100NL are full of professional or at least good players and very few fish.

In Live poker, the answer is and has always been Cash Games. Still a lot of bad players and much less variance/luck factor.

In general, online tournament poker is easier because it's more of a pre flop game with more defined strategies. Post flop, stacks tend to be shallower, so decisions are easier overall; the general standard of play is also worse.

It really depend on your skillset.

Mtts have the added ICM component and they tend to be more preflop play.

Cash games do not have ICM and the play is often deeper and more postflop play.

For me, poker tournaments are better than cash games; I can quickly lose money in cash games.

Is tournament better than cash game?
Hi
For me yes, for me tournaments are more profitable than cash games. Tournaments bring me the main income, cash games bring me nothing at best. I don't like to play cash games.
Good luck

Well basically depends on your free time and amount of patience. Cash game you can enter when you want and play until you had enough. Tournament once you sit you have to stay focused till the end. Naturally tournaments bring better rewards but cash is like instant money, for you or for the villain remains to be seen.

Tournaments are better for me, because just under five years ago I began playing them because I wanted to do something competitive again. I'd actually play if all that was required was the basic entry fee, what the casino keeps of your entry, with a small extra amount for trophies, plaques, or pins. As it is cash is the trophy and that is good too, but I really play to get to the final table and end up in the top three. :)

cash games are suitable if you don't have much time and want to quit poker at any time after playing and go about your business. This is good for you and tournaments take a very long time so you need to play tournaments when you have a lot of time and you won't be busy doing other things, both options are good just choose the time to play

Is tournament better than cash game?

Depends on how much time you have to play? Tournaments can be more profitable because there are more players and the Prize pool is greater, But If play Cash games you are limited to how much you can win by the other players at the table. If they are sitting down with less chips than you, that's all you can take from them, unless they re-stack.
For me I prefer Tournaments because I have more time on my hands, (I am retired) but if I get knocked out from a Tournament I will sometimes Play at a cash table, I remember going to a weekly game at a club a few miles away, My Friend was driving so I could have a few Pints and I was knocked out early on by a player who called my raise pre-flop and with my Pocket Jacks I hit the flop in a big way with J/5/5 on the flop I spiked a Full house, unfortunately he had Pocket 5s and was going nowhere.
Joining a cash table, I sat there while my Friend was still grinding away in the Tournament and he made the money But it was only about £15 for the place he finished in, I however had won over £100.00 playing at the Cash table.
So that night I did better in the Cash game, than I would have in the Tournament.

If you want to win or lose faster of course, then cash tables are the option in my opinion and if you are more patient then tournaments are the most suitable for me.

I think that only the time you have to play determines that choice. At least I play a lot of chash, but not because I like it, but because of the time. I love tournaments but it is difficult to have several continuous hours.

I agree with many comments, tournament poker is weaker, there are a lot of beginners and just fish, even in expensive tournaments. In cash games there are more strong, skilled, disciplined players, which means there is more competition, which will definitely affect your earnings.

Hello friend, it depends on you which modality you prefer to play, you have to take into account that different strategies are used, choose one and study that modality, I recommend that you start with a specific modality so that it is easier for you to play because for example in tournaments It already varies from a regular(normal) tournament to a turbo tournament, both are tournaments but the strategy changes a little, so I recommend starting with one modality. Greetings
