Yep, i was playing silver at 888 yesterday, i finished at place 9 or smth like that, and a player who was strugling with like 3bb stack while there was still like 16-17 players ended up winning tournament. Ofcourse its still about luck at every particular tournament.

Absolutely right. Patience is a key factor. Impatient players will never achieve consistent results.

Another thing , once you have made the $$$ and/or another pay jump, but the next one is not for a while……ALL IN with any two cards under 1 BB. Does nothing to fold with 0.6BB waiting for better cards next hand with 0.4BB, might as well try to triple up or even 7 x your stack so that you can make the next jump once the blinds reach your turn

Again, takes a little practice, I am strictly talking about a situation where even waiting out the clock , it is impossible to make the next pay jump before the antes/blinds are sure to get you

For me, first hand with any 77+ is all-in, there's a plenty of crazy users in freerolls, so you have a good equity
Just for first hand, try to double or bust. The rest of the tournament, patience, for sure!

Solid advice. Early stages are full of wild all-ins, so waiting for strong spots gives you a huge edge. Patience in freerolls = chips when the field thins out. Play smart, not fast.

Indeed. Lots of players call you with trash hands early in the game but the better players stay in the game and fold faster
