Reaching final table is always exciting, but also challenging. I've noticed that the game changes a lot right now, and the decisions are much more delicate.

How do you adjust the strategy at FT? Do they play tighter in the beginning expecting elimination, or do they start pressing on the smaller stacks?

And how do they balance the desire to climb the ranking with the chance to compete for first place?

Any tips are welcome — I still feel a bit lost at this stage and I want to learn how to make better use of the final tables.

For me, it all depends on the situation at the table, the size of my stack, the number of players, and how my opponents are playing. Of course, I adjust my strategy depending on these factors, which must always be taken into account. Understanding how to play will come to you only with experience. All you need to do is just play.

The basic concept i that you should tighten up. This does not mean that you should not take an oppotunity if you see one. But think about it.

Lets say the FT is 9 players. To get there you have just been playing 5 handed, and prior to that 6 and 7 handed. So just from that alone you should be tightening up as 6 handed you are never out of middle position......however, its easy for players to overdo this, and hope to ladder. You can look for these players and try to take advantage.

It depends on the table, if the table is aggressive I really only go in with good cards, I wait for them to hit each other and finish as early as possible, blinds play a very important role in my opinion, I try to steal a lot from BU SB so that my stacks don't drop drastically, I try to watch my opponents and see who is attacking with what, I call an allin or even K6 from BB if my opponent is too aggressive

My final table strategy is to wait for the best cards and act rationally.

Confuse the villain, bet more with weak cards and limp with strong cards
