For single table games (STT) you can get away with less than 100 BIs in your bankroll. A less conservative but still completely fine system is to have 100 BIs for the next level, you are going to drop down to, if you lose. So for instance with 660$ you can play 10$ games, if the next lower limit is 5$. And then you stop playing 10$ games, if you drop below 500$. Its also important to remember, that you are always allowed to play lower, than your bankroll allowes, and mixing up limits will increase game selection and reduce waiting times. So for instance with 660$ maybe you play some 10$ games, but you also still play 5$ games or even some occational $2-3 games.

I agree with you there is nothing wrong in dropping down a level or two if you find you are out of your depth, playing games you are not ready for. The crazy thing most players ignore is the fact that for some players losing $5 in a poker game is nothing to them if they have a Bankroll of over $1,000, but for some players with a Bankroll of $100 it is 5% of their BR and too early to play in $5/$10 games.
I only ever play for fun, and with over $600 Dollars in my BR I can have just as much fun playing a 50 Cent game or a $5 Dollar game, It's never about how much I can Win, but more about how much I could lose!
Keep that in your mind, and you don't care so much about losing 1% or less of your BR.

This is an acceptable minimum. It is better that your bankroll usually has 200 buy-ins, but 100 is also an acceptable option.

This depends on your technical and psychological level.
There are people who use 50 and others 200, but on average 100 is a good start.

But if you technically don't know how to play, you can have infinite buy-ins that will break your bankroll.

Again, it just depends on you.

I would say more than enough . You don't that much for sng imo . But if you want security stability , why not . Have more buy ons than he recommended in your starting bankroll for any game. , sng or tourney

This depends on your real sustainable ROI in the format you are playing.

There is huge difference between spins and 9 mans.

If your long term sustainable ROI is 2% you need a much larger bankroll than if your sustainable ROI is 17%.
