Bounty tournaments are everywhere now, but many players misplay them.

How do you calculate whether a bounty is worth chasing?

Do you play tighter or looser compared to normal MTTs in PKO formats?

Is bounty hunting more about math or about reading opponents?

I don't calculate, in the strict sense of it, but you need to take into consideration how many players are in the hand and your hand's strength in this scenario. So, it's more about reading the opponents. Even though bounties are juicy, you should consider going to the final table as last goal, there you can get your share of bounties, so play GTO.

In some case bounty worth more, than better place on ladder. First you need to remember is 50% of money is in bounty, also good payouts of ladder is only in deep. When leader payouts start players start to jump with every 2cards (A5o+,K6s+ Q8s+ KTo+) to gain stack for deep

I play PKOs, at first I was focused on bounties, but at the start of the tourney its more based on luck as many players seek bounties and play any hand,
Now I focus more on reaching top places in the tourney. build stack and in mid tourney the bounties are bigger and less risky.

When I play bounty tournaments I don't focus on winning the bounty, that doesn't mean I don't want to win them, but I've seen players who just to win a bounty risk with cards that in a certain way are not worth it and I say this because they bet everything without seeing the flop, last year I won a $33 ticket in ACR, I played normally without focusing on wanting to win the bounty, I won a lot of bounty but without taking unnecessary risks, of course I could have won some more bounty that day but the risk was too high

I played bounty tournaments in a variety of ways, cautious and risky, the results ended up being similar or the same. It has become a lot stressful to play them and lately I avoid them, or rather I don't play at all. Now I have improved finances and I manage to earn constantly, not so large amounts, but I am satisfied.

A pko fight is mostly about luck. I write this because I have a lot of experience in it

normal bounty tourneys are similar to normal tourneys, prizes are ranking based. but PKOs the real winners are those who gathers more bounty and the guy who finishes top, even the second place is not worth.

I love and agree with this, sometimes we chase and chase and lose focus of the main goal, some people build their stack up and then someone (middle stack) goes all in,then they call that all in because they're chasing the bounty. They lose half thier stalk which took hours to build and now they're playing on tilt.
Very important to know when to pick your spots
