Calculating pot odds in a bounty tournament

Good morning everyone, how are you? To calculate pot odds in a bounty tournament, do I add the value that the opponent’s bounty represents in chips to the pot and then calculate normally afterward?

Would the formula be:
bounty_in_chips = (opponent_bounty / starting_bounty) * starting_stack ?

If someone could explain how to calculate it, it would really help. Thank you!!

Yes, that’s the correct approach conceptually. In PKO (progressive knockout) tournaments, the opponent’s bounty represents an additional incentive that can be converted to chip value using:

bounty_in_chips = (opponent_bounty / starting_bounty) × starting_stack

Once you have that chip-equivalent, you can add it to the pot size when calculating pot odds — but only when you have the opponent covered. If you don’t cover them, their bounty has no direct value to you.

I consider the bounty an bonus and i try to play as usual. As for your question is your every hand All In and you cover the opponent?... Don't think so.

Wow I never calculated pot odds that way. I just consider the bounty as a bonus also. To me pot odds are pot odds.

There are some excellent free youtube videos on how to calculate odds in bounty MTT. Bencb had a good vid if it is still up.
