The minimum bankroll is 100 buy-ins aka 200$, but if you are planning to just grind 2$, I would start from 300$. Basically if you drop bellow 200$ you will have to lower the stakes, meaning that if you are to start from 200$, one lost tourney and you are already in a bankroll purgatory. If I want to start playing tournaments for $2 approximately how much does my bankroll need to be? Would it have to be $200 minimum?
It all depends on how you play. Maybe 200 won't be enough. If I want to start playing tournaments for $2 approximately how much does my bankroll need to be? Would it have to be $200 minimum?
$300, in my opinion, is optimal. $200 is also enough, but with $300 you will have more room for maneuver, you will be safer and more comfortable from a psychological point of view.If I want to start playing tournaments for $2 approximately how much does my bankroll need to be? Thank you very much, for the adviceEl bankroll mínimo es de 100 buy-ins, es decir, 200 $, pero si planeas apostar solo 2 $, yo empezaría con 300 $.
no, it's something that doesn't increase periodically just with tournament winnings I started with $10 I've already had 200 and I'm still buying in of $1 when I reach 300 I'll start with $2.5 of buy inCreo que 50 cajas de ese nivel estarían bien, al menos unos 100$, creo que esa cantidad es necesaria, pero si quieres relajarte puedes aumentar tu bankroll a más de 50 cajas.
Do you think 50 buy in is enough? And if you get an emotional attack for losing and spending your bankrollSería bueno, pero creo que 100$ deberían ser suficientes.
You could also begin to take some "shots" already at $2.5 games while still also playing $1 games. And then maybe stop the "shots", if you drop down near $150, or if you just dont feel like it. Playing only $1 games with $200-300 in your account is very conservative. Nobody say, that as soon as you have played a $2.5 game, then you can never again play a $1 game. So view the process of moving up as something more gradual rather than "now I am at level X, and now I move to level Y".no, it's something that doesn't increase periodically just with tournament winnings I started with $10 I've already had 200 and I'm still buying in of $1 when I reach 300 I'll start with $2.5 of buy in
Thank you very much now I have $200 in my account for a $1 tournament game, would you recommend having $300 to start playing $2 and a half tournaments?300$ en mi opinión es lo óptimo.
You mean my bank roll will change if I ever play high tournaments? Explain to me what you mean by the variance?
Thank you I liked your adviceTambién podrías empezar a probar suerte en partidas de $2.5 mientras sigues jugando partidas de $1.
May an opinion of about 100 will be enough
You are welcome. Just want to elaborate a bit on my point by saying, that if you want to play with a bankroll of 100 x the buyin and have $200, then in theory you should play $2 games. But if these dont exist, and you can only choose either $1 games or $2.5 games, it can be reasonable to play a mixture of those to keep your average buyin lower than $2.Thank you I liked your advice
Why to add 2$? His BR don't need to be exactly 200$, to continue to play 2$. Also he can play Bounty tournament where is easy for return BI before ITM. Br is more for players to play responsibly, and play with money they can afford. Poker is HOBBY.$2 is enough as long as you can continue to add $2 dollars to keep playing until you hit a score and take it from there
I guess, he is trying to say, that you dont need to have a bankroll to play $2 tournaments but can just deposit, as you go. This is however besides the point, because OP has quite explicitly stated, that he want to manage the $200 in his account as a bankroll, and that he does not want to (or is able to) make further deposits. Why to add 2$?
