You need to describe a situation and if the game is limit or No-Limit

Generally you should raise and call raises with JJ preflop. Don't re-raise unless you are shortstacked or put your opponent on a weaker hand.

Don't be afraid post flop and check/fold when a board like 7-2-Q hits. You need to have a good read to see if your opponent is capable of having a Q.

Again, each situation is different and you HAVE to give detailed examples if you want good advice.

generally speaking, i'd like to raise say 2-4XBB...i'd vary the raise based on previously exhibited table behavior, etc.

naturally, in online poker, where ppl religiously play any ace/face, i'd be a bit careful if an A/K/Q flopped. if rags fall, i'd probably go anywhere from a pot-sized bet to all-in, depending on my stack, the pot opponents stacks, the tourney stage, etc.

I generally play JJ like 88 a little aggressive preflop if the flop comes out big say two overs and some1 starts betting fold unless its a small bet and u feel lucky. Sometimes u have to lay em down

if the flop is low then all in or start the betting and/or raising in a limit game. hope you dont get rivered.:shot:

if u bet 4x the BB preflop and are in position and have only 1 caller, u should bet the flop if he checks. lets say u have 1500 chips and the blinds are 25/50. u raise to 200 and get 1 caller. the flop is k high and and he checks. u should bet since the pot is 400, and a bet of 200 will usually win it outright. yea the K is a scare card and he may have it, but if u raise and he calls, that means he will probably willing check the turn and the river, (unless he flopped a big hand llike trips). but if u dont bet your giving him a chance to outdraw u. if an ace flops, and he checks, you should probably check. chances are he called with a weak and and wants to check call u down.

JJ is strong but it can be beat and i see ppl with pocket pairs get beat all the time. such as a player at ultimatebet went allin with pocket aces, (good hand right? of course?) so he gets called by another player who has more money than him. that player had 25off and flopped a 2s and 5s. so pocket pairs r not invincible.

One thing I've learned in casinos, Jacks are tricky. Sure, it a high card but it gets beat more often they it should. I would still take pocket jacks instaed of what I usually get like 2, 9 or 3, 6 unsuited.

JJ is one of those in between hands that you're never quite sure what to do with
It all depends on the situation

Always see the flop
If A or K come down and it's a big table(7 or more) you probably don't have the best hand but try and stay in if it's not too expensive (if a lot of people are in the pot the risk can be worth the reward)

If there's junk on the table try and take some of the others out with a large bet(about the size of the pot)
