I always play this kind of hand, but in this case I wouldn't have raised, I would just check, and I would expect a favorable flop, I don't know if it's right or wrong, but I would play like this

I think you played it right.
His 16bb 3-bet all In makes me think that he has a 3-6% range. So your call was at the limit. It's almost a 50-50 I think. He could have had a lower pair o even an AJs.
And if he was a loose player, maybe he thought you were just stealing, and he could've raised with any Ax combination.

Do you mean preflop? If so, it depends on the size of the stack and on the position, as well as how many people went to all other

its a reasonable call considering that villain only had 16 bb left therefore his shove range will be wider with a short stack.

You played everything correctly, in poker everything is decided by one card, which kills all the intrigue for success, it was fate to lose, poker is unpredictable in all positions, you will not find justice here.Since poker is a game in which there is always a place for moments that you have no control over, the inner fighter for justice in each of you begins to rebel. This is a completely natural behavior for any person.

As others have said, the size of your open raise was way to big, when SB only had 16BB to start the hand. Calling a rejam for 16BB with AQ is standard, and you just ran into the top of his range. In fact you also have to call with hands way worse than AQ, so its not like, this decision is close at all.

Hello, PeteBoy! You self said: " I guess my call was wrong." I can to say by this case only one: "I fully agree with this assumption."

I would of raised 2.4x bbs and probably called his shove like you have. Just a cooler.

I have bad experiences with AQ. Statistics say maybe something else, but this are not pocket cards for all-in.
