you have played correctly, any person will play like this in a normal game.

There is an other option: If you want to put pressure on small stakes who are behind you, you should save your chips and defend your blinds with good hands.

It was on a final table, I had two smaller chips so I didn't say allin, there is a difference between the money here, what would have been the correct play, could it have been folded?
As played we have to fold the flop---Just calling preflop means we were trying to hit our hand and go all-in with it we missed fold--
Over limping the KQoff is not the best choice based on this Final table dynamic--the huge stack is yet to act the SB has us covered the limper can have a strong hand and the BB can shove for 1/3 our stack.

KQoff is not a strong hand in an ICM spot- Our actions without specific reads in this spot should be 1 Fold 2 all-in 3 raise to 2.5 4 call

Preflop
With less than 10BB we should pretty much always be playing a push or fold strategy. If CO is a regular or tight player, who now suddenly limp with his 8BB stack, then it smells like a trap, and I probably just fold and let someone else confront him. But if CO is an average $1 fish limping all the time, then I would be happy to jam KQo over his limp. If everyone folds, you increase your stack 20% uncontested, which is a fantastic outcome. And if you get action from a single player, there will be a big overlay in the pot, and KQo is a decent enough hand.

Flop
As played I would also fold. I dont think, there are many hands in his range, you are ahead of on that board. Even if he has A high, you are still the one drawing to 6 outs at most.
