Absolutely. Although he is not highly regarded for his behavior, his great tennis ability is undeniable. In my opinion, he is the best player of all time.

His statistics and records are truly impressive and many experts and fans consider him to be the leader in the list of the best.Djokovic, 38, has lost the top spot in the world rankings to young Jannik Sinner, and his Grand Slam wins line has the number 24 next to his name.He is a fighter. The most recent example: Roland Garros 2024, where in the 1/8 final match against the strong 25-year-old Francisco Cerundolo, the Serb, the current champion of the tournament, took a medical break twice, grimaced in pain, in some moments did not even run for the balls, but still finished off his opponent in 4.5 hours. After the game, Novak was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee, meaning he beat Cerundolo on one leg - literally.

Because the top players don't play each other through the same timeline of their peak performance, you cannnot just look at head to head stats. To me the best female was Henin; Federer, best male, because of their style and results.

I love Federer, and for me he is the best player, but Djokovic numbers are out of the questions, so...

Nadal is the King of clay 14 French opens made him the Clay G.O.A.T.
Federer great player but 12 of his 20 Slam titles were before Djokovic's first.

Most of Djokovic's Slam title came in the Nadel/Federer era.
He is the only player to be a Triple career Grand Slam winner Nadel 2 Federer 1.
The only player to hold all 4 Slam title at the same time (basically the Grand Slam) 2015/16.

Therefore the all round G.O.A.T has to be Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic is the best athlete in the world of all time. He is primarily a good man, normal and natural behaves as if he is a complete stranger, selflessly helped people in need and participated in humanitarian actions.

He is a great athlete, a great tennis player who has won many titles. There are many more very good players, but he is among the best in history.

If you look at his accomplishments, the answer should be obvious and yet it still seems to be up for debate.

Without offending anyone, it's just my opinion, the debate exists because people cannot be objective, much less the journalism that was clearly a fan of Federer, is an individual sport and the numbers are there, the good thing is that many elite athletes know that the GOAT is NOVAK, and that's enough.

I think he is the greatest of all time with that amount of Slams.

But it doesn't mean he is the best. Its totally possible there were stronger players in the their peak in terms of performance

Who was the best soccer/football player of all time? Messi? Pele? Cruyff?
Who was the best hockey player of all time? Gretzky? Orr? Howe?
Who was the best basketball player of all time? Jordan? LeBron James? Abdul-Jabbar?
Who was the best race car driver of all time? Jackie Stewart? Schumacher? Hamilton?
What is the best meal of all time? Filet Mignon? Lobster? Pizza? Mac & Cheese?
Best Actor ? Denzel Washington? Richard Burton? Marlon Brando?
Most beautiful woman of all time? Elizabeth Taylor? Halle Berry?

Besides the fact that there’s no correct answer because “chacun son gout”…in sports you can compare stats, but you have to account for other factors. Were there more games or tournaments or fewer players at one era compared to the next? Was equipment the same? Was training and medical assistance the same? Did players stay in competition longer because the money and fame were greater than previous generations? Did previous players play more for the love of the game instead of greed?

This answer cannot be determined by stats or money or length of career alone.

It is a fool’s task…and only an idiot can make any definitive choice.

First of all, tennis is an individual sport. Second, the three players who have won the most important tournaments in the history of tennis are from the same generation: Nadal, Federer and the Serbian. Thirdly, no one mentioned money. And finally, only an idiot would assume that only an idiot could say such a thing.

Statistically - I go Djokovic but if we had all 3 at their very best and prime form - i go Nadal.
Its a great debate and also should factor in surfaces and opponents in finals.
