I didn't know that pokerstars had a table limit when it came to tournaments. But it's 24 tables max? Back then I recall some people would 30 table tournaments/sngs on stars. So what would happen if say you register say 50 tournaments/sngs for the session. But these tournaments are throughout the whole day. Let say you somehow got 24 tournaments/sngs playing somehow. I know this is very hard since you are going to bust in a lot of tables so getting that many active tables are hard. Now say you have 6 more upcoming registered tournaments.

Assuming you do not bust out of any tournament/sngs when the next tournament that you registered starts, what happens? Does stars automatically unregister you with the new tournament/sng? Does it not open and sit you out in that tournament or something? Does it do that with your remaining 5 upcoming registered tournaments until you start busting out of your remaining 24 tables?

I wonder why you need to know this?
Thinking about things that don't matter is harmful in my opinion. You're just wasting your time on something that doesn't affect your results or income in any way.

I think that the tournament will simply not appear on your screen and it will only be the ones you are still active in, EVEN SO I don't think it's possible physically or mentally to be at so many tables hahahaha

Let's say you have time to play at 24 tables simultaneously. What happens if the 25th table opens?
PokerStars will identify you as a bot and you will get banned :)

The reason why I ask this is because I preregister a lot of tournaments. I would at times have over 30 tournaments registered and say 12 are running. I had at times like 22 tables running at once. I want to know what happens if I have 24 tables running and another tournament starts in a few minutes and say I do not bust out of any of my 24 tables. What happens?

I ask this because I didn't know stars had a tournament table limit of 24. Back then It was no limit for tournaments. When did stars change this? I know they have the cash game limit table but didn't know they had a tournament/sngs limit of 24 tables.

I dont know the answer, but since its possible to register for more than 24 tournaments, presumably there will be a forced deregistration, when tournament number 25 is about to begin? Maybe ask PokerStars support? They are more likely to know than people in a forum, since hardly anyone play these many tables at a time these days.

As others have suggested, you really should contact PokerStars Support for your region.

Why would anyone mass multitable 10 cent games? This makes no sense, because there is far more money to be made by playing a smaller number of for instance $5-10 tournaments and play them well. I personally play on a laptop, and I never run more than 6 games at a time. I have found this to be the highest number, I can handle without getting completely confused and overwhelmed.

Hi :)
Do you often play more than 20 tables at the same time? It would be interesting to see what your workplace looks like at this moment.

If you play lot of tables, you have the HUD to check the stats of players.

Yes I do play a lot of tables. The reason why I mention about 10 cent or 1 cent tournaments is if someone does a test to see how many tables one can play until the lag starts. A while back I would open a lot of 1 dollar sng tables and test to check how many can I play before the lag issues start. Before aurora, I don't believe there was any lag even when 20 tabling at all.

It's very hard to play 24 tables but it isn't impossible. You would need to use a HUD. Back then recall many players did that. The issue now is the software seems to make it impossible to even 18+ table anymore.

But since there is now a 24 table limit, I wanted to know what would happen if you are playing 24 tournaments/sngs mixed in for example and another tournament is about to start. It would seem like the software unregistering you from the next tournaments that opens makes the most sense?

Short answer. Mobile version allows 4 tables. It happened to me that I was playing on my PC and something went wrong. I was forced to move to the App, and I was playing in 6 games. I remember that only 4 tables opened, and I was sitted out in the other two.
I was able to open one later, when I lost in one game. And wasn't able to survive the other one.
I assume that something similar happens from the PC.
Although, you need a good GPU too I guess.

When I want to set a new layout, I open tables of a random tournament, in order to be able to set the configuration without playing and taking decisions at the same time.
You could try something similar. Open many play money tables, you can sit out for a while, and keep opening till you reach the limit and register in an upcoming game.

Sorry, wasn't a short answer after all.

That is a very interesting example you used. So you was playing 6 tables on your computer but then went to play on the app because of issues on your computer. You were playing on your iphone or ipad or which device with the app? So you noticed you only had 4 tables opened. So these were all tournaments right?

What happened when you went to the registered tournaments tab though? Did it let you do that? Or you didn't think about doing that? Because if you did open registered tournaments, did it show all these 6 tournaments currently running? You mention that you were sat out in the other two tournaments but how did you know for sure you were sat out? Were you able to open those tables and notice you were sitting out or you couldn't open more than 4 total tables so you assuming you were sitting out? So you can't even observe more than 4 tables on the app?

So when you had 4 tournament tables running on the app, could you have closed one of the tournaments that you were playing? Then open one of the other 2 tournaments instead? Like imagine of those 6 tournaments you had running, those 4 tournaments that are running on the app was the lower buyer or less important tournaments. Could you have just closed 2 of those tournaments and opened the other 2 tournaments that you were sitting out on? Or you had to bust out of one of those 4 tournaments before one of the other 2 tournaments opened?

Your example is one I never even thought of but that applies to this question.

Does anyone know when did stars limit tournaments/sngs to 24 tables? Back then there was no limit for tables if you count only tournaments and sngs.

Impossible to play at 24 tables... concentration is 0.

Some of the BEST online (mid-stakes) tournament players are playing 20-24 tables during the peak of their session... on a DAILY basis!
This is by no means the typical amount as I believe more play in the 16-20 table range.
