Hi. I'm looking for a few opinions here. So I play on stars and play a lot of tables. So I'm not someone that plays 1 or 2 tables. By that I mean at least 12 tables. I would sometimes do 20 tables even or a bit more. I use HEM3 and starscaption. However, this is basically impossible as the moment I have say 16 tables opened, the software is unplayable. It starts to lag and then freeze and then the software crashes. I notice the moment I have say 12 tables opened, some of my tables would have the fold and call display box completely disappear from the table. Only the raise box shows up. Has anyone here had this happen? Then when action is on me at the tables, it doesn't matter if I use my mouse to click fold/call/raise or use a hotkey to do it. It either doesn't work or take at least 10 clicks at the minimum to get it to the action. What ultimately happens is the clicking doesn't work at my tables and then I get sat out at all my tables. I then have to force close the software and then log back in again.
One thing that always happens is whenever I am about close to close the stars client, it always show in top left corner pokerstars Lobby (Not Responding). It would show that and the software would freeze for a bit. Then it would close. Does anyone here have this issue? Is the only way to fix this issue is uninstall and reinstall the software? But I have to make sure to save the 2 files so I can get back all my Pokerstars settings?
My laptop is an i7-12700h processor and 32gb ram. I have an Intel iris xe graphics card and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. However, it doesn't seem stars uses the Nvidia 3050 when playing? Is there a way to get it to do that? I believe a while back you could make stars uses your other graphics card in the settings but you can't do that anymore? The thing is I use 2 external monitors with it... one is 32' 4k monitor and another is 24' 1920x1200 monitor. So you can imagine how many tables I have showing up on these screens. The thing is I believe my 2 graphics card are not up to date which might be a reason for this? Or that probably isn't the case? The thing is because I play a lot of tables, I can't have the software keep doing this. I had the same issue with 888 as well and recall I couldn't play more than 10 tables at the max before these issues occur.
Are there any tech people here that can tell me what I should do here?
I know this forum probably isn't the one to ask this as most people here probably play more than a few tables max at once? But is anyone here able to play say 18 tables comfortably without any lag? Like imagine you playing 18 tournaments or sngs of 1 dollar and below and testing it to see how many tables you can play without lag? I know back in the day, people could do 20 tables and 24 tables without any issue and this was using holdem manager or pokertracker back in the day where you didn't even really need a fast computer. Back then with my older laptop with an i5-6300q processor and 8gb ram, I recall rarely was there any lag or freezing Issues on stars even when I go up to 20 tables. But since aurora got introduced, nobody can play that many tables anymore right? I assume if you don't use holdem manager or pokertracker or starscaption, maybe it's possible? But hard for someone to play without it if playing lot of tables.
How would I update my graphics drivers if that might work?
