I don't think they are in the practice of blocking accounts for no reason at all. They must have given you a reason (if you don't agree with it)?

Why did you think Party have blocked your account due to you being guilty of something?
Is there anything you think you might have done that would lead to them blocking you?
Have they sent you an email telling you that have been blocked?

For sure there was an explanation, even if you dont like it, dont understand it or dont agree with it. Maybe it was a very generic explanation like "we have found, that you are in violation of our terms and services, you can read them here". Have you checked your email including the spam tray?

If you are not given reasons, why do you claim that you are not guilty?
It is definitely quite strange to justify yourself in a situation where you are not guilty and you are not accused of anything.

If you are a respectable player and have not violated the rules, then there is a chance that this is a temporary block and your account will be unblocked, for example, after verification or providing the necessary supporting documents. If you still did something bad, then it is quite possible that the ban you received is permanent. Think about it.

They block your account if you have installed any piece of software on your computer that is on their forbidden software list.
Even if this software is not running.
They search actively for this software on your computer when you start the PartyPoker Client and will ban you directly with a message.
May be, you run a VPN which can also lead to a ban.

Thats seems harsh to ban, just for having it installed. Why should they care, if it is not running?
Do you know if Ladbrokes/Coral skins are equally harsh ?

I am very sceptical about this information. There is a lot of software, which poker sites dont allow you to use while playing, but of course they can not and should not control, what you do away from the tables. So the way, for instance pokerstars do it, is, that their client scan for forbidden software, which is RUNNING. But not for software, which is installed, which I think is not even possible without completely taking control over the customers computer?

I know that the bwin(only other skin that works in germany) client closes directly if some piece of software is installed but does not ban the account.
Software was not running.
PartyPoker client worked the same, but banned directly.

I can tell you that Partypoker dot com does not ban you for having something like PT4 installed & Running on your computer.
Also, Partypoker is a very trustworthy & fair company. Where I can see & believe (& have seen) some other sites practice some pretty shady stuff (ie. a site that consists of a few numbers followed by the word poker) and could easily believe it if they banned you for insufficient reasons but not Partypoker.

That's a strange phrase to use when you haven't been accused of anything yet. Also no business bans customers without a reason. It's terrible business and a good way to go bankrupt.
I've never been a big fan of Party Pokers interface but it would likely be my 2nd choice of sites to play on if Pokerstars didn't exist. Agree 110% with Poker Orifice above me. And I choose my sites to play on by their past history(actions), trust, security and whether or not they have a licensed RNG. Fwiw I've been around poker 20+ years now and have played at party poker and all the major sites over that time.
PS. After posting this I just Googled if Party Poker allows HUDS. Seems they currently do not allow HUD's. I believe they use not sure when they stopped. So if you used a HUD's there's your reason.

That seem pretty unlikely. When sites change their policy on trackers / HUDs, they typically also make it, so that its difficult or impossible for external software to gather the hand histories, which these programs need to work. And the official producers of programs like PT4 and HM2 also work with the sites, so if a site does not allow the use of trackers, then that site can simply not be configured for import in the tracker. Maybe it could, if you use an older version, but certainly not in the new versions.
The forbidden software, you can inadvertently end up having running while playing are things like solvers, equity calculator and ICM-software like ICMizer. These types of software dont depend on communication with the poker client, and they dont do anything automatic. But on most sites its not allowed to use them while playing, which is referred to as RTA (Real Time Assistance). Of course people can always have them running on a different computer, which sites have no easy way to detect, but thats another separate topic
