I believe GGPoker is the most unethical poker site ever created

I know I'm a bit thick, but I don't see what criticising the GG casino has to do with playing poker. I have played online poker for 15 years (not on GG, though) and never yet gone on to a casino game. How are the poker games being unethical? Can someone explain?

A moderator changed my original title for this thread into the ultra cringe title it has now. I don't know why. The original title specified "the most unethical non-scam poker site ever created" to address this objection. If a site doesn't let you withdraw money, it's just a scam, and I agree that makes it worse

Did you send them a message asking it to be returned to how you originally titled it? (changing the title seems ridiculous as it does change the meaning of your thread)

Everything is well noted. GG Poker is more about the casino than about poker. They always do everything in their favor... They take a percentage of the withdrawals, meaning you're already in the red on this site. And now they've disabled Luxon, thereby encouraging people to use dubious deposit and withdrawal methods. I support the author of the article, GG Poker are the biggest charlatans in the poker world. P.S. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have as much money as all the players on the platform. It seems to me that this is a second full tilt, and the owners are already having a nice rest on the money of players who made deposits. Again, this is just my guess.

What?
This is perhaps YOUR experience... mine is completely different. I've never even looked at a casino game on GG (didn't even know they exist). And the poker on GG is MASSIVE!!! Including they are holding the wsop events. Did you see the final table yesterday or were you spinning some wheel that EVERYONE knows is a losing proposition. (I mean who honestly doesn't know this???). Top 6 all won at least $1 million dollars for a $5,000 entry. 1st place won $3.9 Million! Incredible!

I guess I'm gonna make one last post in this cringe title thread just so people who don't look at the other sub forums know why I stopped responding

...oke that's it, thanks bye!

This is such a weak thing to have a fit over.

It's a title change, and a relatively inconsequential one at that. Donna's reasoning was sound and it looks like it was changed again to remove the word you objected to after you brought it up.

It sounds like you're mad on principle alone and are having a hissyfit because you're not getting it changed back like you want and also because there's virtually nobody agreeing with your initial assertion, at least not in the way you thought it would be.

I'm not going to go over your OP point by point, but everything you claim as "unethical" is either a feature that people like (smooth software), things that can be done irl (rabbit hunting and slow peel), and things that are easy to understand or outright ignore if you have half a brain (AIoF being a losing game, spins as rake generators, PokerCraft notshowing rake). Hell, most people who play those know they're not gonna wing big but play them because they find them fun.

Offering a flashy, smooth, accessible and simple gaming/gambling platform isn't unethical or scummy at all. It's good business. Adults can make choices on where and what to play and it's not up to the service to have "morals" and scruples, its up to the customer.

OP explained it better, but a part of it are these formats on GG that 'trigger' gambling addiction with psychological tricks most people are unaware of.

Mystery Battle Royal, uncertain treasure chest anywhere from x1/4th buyin to x1000.

All in or fold: push/fold poker with a slim chance to win a jackpot.

Spin&Gold wheel that rolls at the start with the jackpot on the wheel.

Basicly everyone has the idea of winning a grand price in their head, but in reality you are very unlikely to win it.

Nobody expects that .
OP does sound like a whiny teenager who thinks she is always right and can't even argue herself but has to answer almost always with AI, which doesn't help her case either.

Everyone is aware of the probabilities....

I believe it for you. But I've responded to a few people on CC alone who didn't knew the odds of the Spins. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.

The GGPoker poker room is good because it has a large online presence, many tournaments and many fans.

Thank you. My take is that GG are not the only company in the world (and not the only casino site) to try to trick people into losing or spending money. TV adverts do it all the time. I see that I'm not the only person to decline to play in an online casino (see Poker Orifice's post). It's easy - just don't click it! That is real gambling, as opposed to poker which requires a level of skill to make a profit. I don't gamble. Simple. And I now wonder whether a lot of posters saying they are poker players are really just trusting to luck.
