Whoa - wonder if this is Jarret Nash who just blinded out after not showing up today:

Yep. But it wasn't Judaism and it wasn't just his wife, it was his decision.

Kinda weird. This guy should be used to lobby against the religious right who oppose poker, since he considers it "a clean game" (as long as it's not played on Saturday).

I just found she busted on day 4 - did she make the $$?

Yes - she cashed for over 24k.

Entering a $10k tournament with no intention of playing day 5 is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard of anyone doing in poker.

I was really rooting for Daniel Negreanue to make the final table in this one, but he was unfortunately knocked out the other day and I got no one to root for now lol. And that was an interesting debacle they had there..

Yes. They only don't show hole cards because it's live. Someone could
Tank 15 minutes and know what their opponent had!

That guy who does the QuadJacks interviews sounds like one of those computer-animated voices. Is it real?

So sick to have the last two women bust 11th and 10th. Soooo bad for poker. Even sicker to have them busted by this Koroknai scumbag. His stack should have gone to Gaelle on day 5, imo. Terrible ruling by the wsop.

I went to bed thinking surely at least one of the women was going to get in and was shocked to find out it was bubble bubble. Was really rooting for them - would have made it so much more interesting to have them involved.

I haven't been following the ME this year, can you fill me in on what happened on day 5?

Thanks for the link. That's pretty sick. Don't understand how they came to that ruling.

I agree that's a questionable ruling as it stands, but can also understand it.

If the hand had been retrievable it would probably have been ruled live and he'd have to put his stack in. In tournaments there is no hard & fast rule that a hand hitting the muck is automatically dead, however it must be retrievable. My assumption is they ruled this way because apparently one card was irretrievable. So they had no way of knowing if his hand was beat by the river or not (KK preflop is hardly the nuts). With that in mind, I tend to agree he shouldn't lose his whole stack, but I think he got off too light only losing the min-raise amount. Should have at least been giving a penalty on top because otherwise it opens up some angle/collusion doors.
