IMO

micro = 2nl-10nl
low = 25nl-100nl
mid = 200nl-600nl
high = 1knl+

You won't find a HU game til probably 50nl and even at that limit the bumhunting is in full swing. However in my experience the bumhunting is much worse at the mid stakes due to the lower player pool. On let's say Merge while there might be 10-13 50nl HU tables going, at 400nl there are probably only 3-4.

The cease and desist notices combined with the THREAT of legal action is enough to get the job done. The last thing PTR want to do is become embroiled in a landmark legal case with the worlds largest online poker provider. That would/could be very bad business.
The actual legalities are sketchy. A prosecution for breaking ToS are hard to get as there are so many ambiguities in most ToS. If this was a smaller operator, PTR may have called their bluff and said see you in court. My money would then be on it never reaching court.
Most ToS or T&C are in place to protect the organisation in question so that they cant be prosecuted by third parties, they are seldom legally binding, although in the USA, anything is possible.

I know I am in the minority here but I liked the PTR. Their presence helped catch a lot of botters and colluders and outed a lot of scammy "coaches" who it turned out were not exactly the beasts that they claimed to be.
Minority with ya. It would be cool if PTR could go private and work with the poker sites to be an extra level of security by monitoring histories and players. Keep the stats private for only the sites to see and available upon request in scandalous situations. They could even offer digital "authenticity certificates" to poker coaches to prove their success and value of teaching.
If online poker ever gets regulated in the US, maybe PTR could work with the Govt., etc. Just a thought.

Wow, brilliant news!

Fantastic work. Now all the other sites need to follow suit, which I expect them to do so.

I can see the walls of PTR finally beginning to crumble.
