I was thinking about this topic and I found an answer that makes sense for me at least. I remember that I started to play poker at my university time and, considering I live on a county dollar is expensive, I made 2~5 $10 deposits saving the money that I had and growed a bankroll from that, ofc, playing a lot of freerolls.
What's the point of this entire history? It's not important how much money you deposited on a room/poker, just you know the quantity that you can invest on it. I'm saying it because people need to start to see poker as some recreative thing, if you don't intend to become a pro, relax, just play with a quantity doesn't hurt your pocket. Now, if you intend to become a professional poker player, you need to be commited to beat all the stakes and why not the freerolls too? Start with a quantity and become commited to not go broke, it's really really important at my point of view.
