20 € in PS and after been busted a few days later another 20 €. The welcome package at 888 helped me to build up a bankroll for free.

I can't say for sure, but I probably invested $ 200 in poker stars at the beginning of my career.

Hello. I play freerolls and play on the money won. Currently, I am up over $200 from recent play. That's some good money for me...and lots of excitement! Cheers!

I was thinking about this topic and I found an answer that makes sense for me at least. I remember that I started to play poker at my university time and, considering I live on a county dollar is expensive, I made 2~5 $10 deposits saving the money that I had and growed a bankroll from that, ofc, playing a lot of freerolls.
What's the point of this entire history? It's not important how much money you deposited on a room/poker, just you know the quantity that you can invest on it. I'm saying it because people need to start to see poker as some recreative thing, if you don't intend to become a pro, relax, just play with a quantity doesn't hurt your pocket. Now, if you intend to become a professional poker player, you need to be commited to beat all the stakes and why not the freerolls too? Start with a quantity and become commited to not go broke, it's really really important at my point of view.

Finally, one honest answer.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen more people say “zero” and then brag about repeated bullshit withdrawals because of all the people on this forum who are convinced you can build a bankroll on freerolls alone.

Hey, just because I've lost my bankroll every time I got it up over a few hundred dollars doesn't mean you can't build a bankroll from freerolls. I did. We'll I mean that I've played with the short money I won and built it up. I just can't manage one once I have it.

Tilt happens.

I usually put $ 10 per site at $ 20 to get bonuses. But I never gave any money back except when I first started playing Poker Stars I donated $ 10. Now I don't need to add more, my game is much better ... :p ;)

I have made a couple deposits, once a while back for the welcome bonuses at 888 (and to play the depositors freerolls), and another when I accidentally busted my bankroll in the casino, and I got a nice bonus then too. So like $30.. But many withdrawals since, thanks 888!!

I deposited $ 100 on PS and $ 10 on 888Poker. I was a beginner from the play game and I lost everything. So I found out about the freerolls and started looking. Then I found CardsChat and a few more. Since then I have been playing freerolls and have managed to cash out $ 130 at the ACR and 888Poker together. I won about $ 20 in PS freerolls and returned by playing what I won in $ 1 and $ 2 Spins. I reached 111 dollars. I thought: I'll cash it out when I get $ 120. I lost everything.
What I can tell you is that with discipline, it is possible to build a bankroll with freerolls, but it takes time.

Now that I have recovered the money I put in, I will start building my bankroll. Maybe I'll open a topic here to follow up.

When i started playing i did 3 deposits of 20$ and lost everything, i used to play the big MTTs (bountys 5,5, hots, bigs, etc). The big buyins for my bankroll + my lack of experience and knowledge = fail
When you have a little amount of buy ins the last thing u do is play a bounty tournament with 10000 enemies
Then i spent some time studying about cash games and playing freerolls, accumulating 8USD, then i did a deposit of 40$ and started playing 2NL
I never had to deposit again

PokerStars Deposit

Me?

Over $100 but under $200. I dont think that's too bad. I've been playing on that for about 10 years now. I do play a lot of free rolls and am down to .58c right now..

Go online Poker!!! We're here to make it fair for all.

Wow I think you have done really well 10 years of playing for $200. Great value, I wish I could have experienced the same, I have deposited more like $500 with PokerStars over the past 12 years and right now have $0.05. basically now unplayable...hopefully a Freeroll will help boost my now diminished bankroll. On the other side of the coin I have never deposited $$$ in ACR or GG yet I have achieved a usable bankroll in both, ACR quite a bit better. I am not sure if it is the site which makes a difference or the different players involved?

So as they say at the casino. Shuffle up and deal.:):):)
