It has been many years since Black Friday. And, everyone is waiting for On line Poker to be made legal in USA. But, it has been a long wait. And nothing seems to be happening.

With everything else going on that’s not being dealt with, I’d be very surprised.

The casino lobbies don’t want it right? Get the NRA on side and something will pass overnight.

It is a slow process and is state by state - not likely we will be 100% in the US within the next 5-10 years if ever. It is always possible a few states will hold out forever.

It's legal to sports bet, no reason not to allow poker.

Hi everyone:)
Even if it becomes legal, there will be no change, the situation will remain as it is.
The truth is that no one cares that poker or online gambling games become legal, but I see that it is legal, because all game lovers deposit and withdraw their money safely from all poker rooms and gambling.
I think that those responsible for online entertainment activities, and the international banks, are the ones who can stop these games, and this is impossible, because their desire to win money and our “love for poker” and people’s love for gambling games are simply more than the law.
I wish if the law was always in the interest of humanity, it would be better to shut down the "unfortunately legal cigarette factories" that kill millions of people every year than to stop us from enjoying a game of poker;)

I think it will be a slow trickle, as states struggle with budget deficits legalizing poker is an easy way for them to generate tax revenues.

I hope so.

What's the lyrics to the national anthem "Land of the free" Not so free they cannot play a game of online poker.

I cannot quite remember the reasons why. Maybe to stop money laundering? I could be wrong. Other countries stop it for addiction reasons.

I dont think it will ever happen. I do think it will grow slowly but I believe to many states dont care about poker as it wont bring enough to make it worth there time and some places just look at this game as gambling, My state did open up sports betting in the last year but when I asked our politician if online poker would be legalized he said no way. Oddly many feel my state would be one of the few that could open up sooner than later. Knowing my states official I doubt it. I know, I am to pessimistic. What kills me is they have people saying tax me and they dont do it.

We just have to hope, that we will get all the U.S. players back, that would really get the the online play going again.
They are missed..

It was before the Black Friday Domain Seizures. I don't think it was targeted as such. I wouldn't worry about it though; Biden will have destroyed America by the end of the year at this rate.

I hope so. I'm not from US, but when US players were allowed to play online, it was so much better. There were so many big poker rooms and they had to offer good promotions to attract the players. After Black Friday, PS didn't have much competition, maybe GG poker in the last few months, but it's not the same thing.

Maybe we should start with getting medical online poker approved in each state first and then go for recreational online poker after that.

The reason for this is that politicians are in the pockets of lobbyists and land-based casino owners.
