sometimes its useful , on thye bubble for ex. I havge lost many times on the bubble of a sat , because a clever guy with 0.5 or 0.002 bb or whateever was folding waiting for a su*** to lose by shoving AA with 5 or more bb vecause that might be a routine in normal games . why not tank a little , as long as you can , so as for the blinds to go up , put this '' clever '' guy with hid back on the wall , why not ???

whoever says he has never delayed is a liar or stupid . when there is a good reason to do this , it should be understandable . when it happens all the time , because the other player is an a***hole , then it is not right . if sb delays all time , from the beginning of tourney to the end , just to break others balls , then it is not right .

Tanking, delaying time. Do you do it? Do you hate it when other players do it? Is it part of your strategy? Do you only do it in specific situations?

I usually play in MTT's so I don't mind it. Give the opposition more time to be eliminated. If we're close to the bubble I'll definitely wind the clock down, unless there's are only two or three tables because there's not much point then. If it's on the bubble and I'm obviously ITM I won't tank. Also, if people throw things or get sh*tty at me I'll tank a little longer just to "assert my dominance" haha.
I don't have a problem with tanking as there are time we need to honestly think over the situation. In a live game I played yesterday I saw a player tank for several minutes after he over jamed the pot on a K turn all in. I came to the conclusion it was a bluff as there was only 1 hand he could have there as did the guy who tanked. It was a bluff. This is why tanking is not a bad thing in the game. Some decisions are not a bad thing.

Do i hate tanking? No I don't. What I do hate is players who wind down the clock every hand and every street they play. Its OK to play slow and think out a strategy every hand your playing but there are too many hand you know is fold so just fold them.

I often use tanking, sometimes even on automatic, it played into my strategy very much

I sometimes tank. It can be part of my strategy in some circumstances and of course it can be profitable near the bubble if I am short stacked.

When you are on the bubble and dont have a lot of chips, you have to do it, just waiting on the bubble to burst

I agree with what many have already said - the time bank is there for everyone to use as they see fit but when a player runs down the clock on every single hand even if they never intended to play it, this is just wasting time and doesn't prevent others from gaining any additional info. You were going to fold pre anyway, so why do you have to sit there until you're one second from being timed out?
