Nice! Just keep playing and don’t rush things.
Focus on learning one thing at a time — and don’t be afraid to fold!
Good luck at the tables!

im very very new to online poker but im liking how im evolving and def want to get any tips for a beginner. Thanks
I would recommend the following:
Play tight and aggressive – fewer hands, but play them strongly, this is extremely important.
Learn starting hand ranges – know what hands are worth playing.
Value your position – play more hands in late position.
Don’t chase every draw – understand pot odds first.
Manage tilt and bankroll – stay calm and play within your limits, this will allow you to keep control of your emotions and will have a positive effect on your mental state.

Depends on if you are an MTT or a cash grinder.

I would also additionally stress the bankroll management, as bankroll management is the king.

Start Tight, Play Right
Play strong hands early and avoid marginal spots.
Learn what starting hands to play from each position this alone can save you a ton of chips!
Position is Power
Always be aware of where you are at the table. Acting last gives you more info and better control of the pot.
Don’t bluff Too Much
bluffing is overrated at low stakes. Focus on value betting your strong hands beginners lose more trying to outplay when they should be playing solid.
Bankroll Management = Survival
Only play what you can afford to lose. Even pros go on downswings. Protect your bankroll like your life depends on it!
Learn the Basics of pot odds & Outs
A little math goes a long way. Knowing when a call is profitable helps you stop bleeding chips on bad draws.
Play Fewer Tables & Take Notes
When you're new, one or two tables is enough. Focus on learning, not just volume.
Tilt Control Is a Skill
Losing is part of poker. Don’t chase your losses or get emotional that’s how small leaks become big ones.
Keep Learning
Watch videos, read books, and ask questions. Every session is a chance to improve.

For me, playing many tournaments and reviewing lost hands (what you made wrong, what your opponent played, everything) analyze

If you're new to the world of poker, start with smart and steady steps to grow your game. Here are the key tips:

  1. Start Tight
Don’t play every hand. Focus only on strong starting hands, especially in early positions.
  2. Position Matters
The later your position (like the button), the better your decision-making due to seeing others act first.
  3. Bankroll Management
Don’t risk money you can’t afford to lose. Stick to stakes that match your current level.
  4. Avoid Freerolls in the Long Run
Freerolls are okay to start, but the level is low, the habits are bad, and the prizes are very small.
  5. Track Your Progress
Review hands you’ve played and learn from your mistakes. There are tools that help with this.
  6. Study Off the Table
Read poker books, watch training videos — don’t rely on just playing to improve.
  7. Stay Calm
Don’t let losses affect your decisions. Staying emotionally balanced is key to long-term success.

It’s awesome to hear that you’re already enjoying the journey and noticing your evolution — that’s a great sign!

Here are some tips that helped me a lot when I was starting out:

1. Be selective with hands – Don’t feel like you need to play every hand. Playing fewer but stronger hands, especially in early position, will help you avoid tricky spots.

2. Position is power – Try to act after your opponents whenever possible. You get more information and can make better decisions.

3. Start with freerolls – They’re perfect for learning without risking money. Sites like CardsChat, GG Poker, and 888 have great freeroll options.

4. Watch and learn – YouTube videos, forums, and hand reviews are gold. Even short videos on poker basics can sharpen your game a lot.

5. Stay calm – Variance (luck swings) is part of poker. Don’t get discouraged by bad beats — they happen to everyone.

6. Track your progress – Keep a simple log of what you played, how it went, and what you learned. You’ll be surprised how fast you grow!

Keep having fun and learning step by step — that’s the real win in the beginning! Good luck at the tables, BeniBoy!

The first thing is to practice. You can start by playing free tournaments, watching videos of how the pros play some hands, and I think you'll understand that anything can happen, even if you lose with a card on the river.

I will give one, but the most important advice: Play according to your bankroll. This is the most important thing, you don't need to have illusions "what if I get into a tournament for all the money and win it" yes, this is possible... about 1% considering if you play well, with a probability of 99% you will be left without a bankroll and will make a new deposit. Therefore, it is very important to play according to your bankroll and the more you play, the higher the chances of winning something
P.S. Believe me, even if you roll your face on the keyboard, sooner or later you will win if you have enough money for 200-300 entries into the tournament. It is also true that even if you are Daniel Negreanu, but if you have enough money for 5-10 entries into the tournament, your chances are bad. Books are long outdated and in my humble opinion there is no point in wasting time on them. Learn preflop charts, watch streams of strong players, watch video analysis of the game. I think you will succeed.

start to learn gto
What is still something fashionable?:ROFLMAO:
I know many high roller streamers who have learned GTO inside and out... and do you know what they say? A person (your opponent) is not a machine. It means that you need to adapt to your opponent and playing by adjustments will be much more profitable than playing by GTO.

At first I played very haphazardly, too many hands always went with me until the end. Over time, I only went with hands that I actually hit 80 percent of. Aggressive when I have set up a bit of something I am even with lower hands a little with and with AA KK DD 1010 and 99

Start by learning the basics of position, odds, and starting hand selection. Manage your bankroll carefully and play within comfortable limits.
