This was my biggest concern when playing full time, I hated when my power and/or internet went out. If the tournament was important enough I would take my laptop to a local McDonalds and use their wi-fi.

It was like that in Kyiv in winter, I was furious, because it was the pre-final of a good tournament, when the light was returned, I already flew out,
But nothing will be many more chances

Not really. I have a desktop, laptop, and iphone. If the internet goes out I can turn on the mobile hotspot on my phone and connect to computer to that cellular internet. If the power goes out, my desktop has a backup battery and of course have a laptop- then can also use mobile cell phone hotspot for internet. In a pinch can just play on my phone if power out for extended time.

I think that we should always play with courage and choose the best move at the moment, whether to turn the card or not is not up to us, but the correct choice is.

Do you worry about losing power if you're in a big-money online game or any money game?
Side note a big money game is in the eyes of the beholder! A multi-millionaire might play a million-dollar game and it's nothing to them, whereas another person may play a $100 game and it's the difference between eating and not eating!

What are some tips for people who play big money and may fear losing power?
Well, on Sunday I decided to enter a tournament for $22, which is quite a high buyin compared to my usual freerolls.
The power went out !
It came back on after 1.5 hrs but by then I had been blinded out.
I think I need to get a more modern phone that can play poker for such eventualities.

We have a power backup as well as multiple internet connections, so there is no risk of losing anything.

if you know that the power may go out, don't play an expensive game. That is, take into account that you can lose it, or there should be a backup option. But in general, the main rule is: don't play for money that you are not ready to lose. I have often been in your place and I know what I am talking about. Poker is like the Wall Street stock exchange, where you weigh all the chances and risks and make the right decision, if the risks are unacceptable, then maybe this is an unacceptable deal?

This happened to me once, it rained really hard at night and left some neighborhoods without power, and I was playing in a tournament, luckily I was able to play because my cell phone was charged.

Simply another BRM decision for me, I don't play with money I can't afford to lose so if conditions indicate a likely interruption in power it's just another consideration to factor in the play or not decision.

I live in Northern canada and I can tell you right now we have internet and power problems quite regular. In fact we have at least 1 power outage every other month and our internet is just the worst. We have only one provider of power where we live. I have lost internet probably 30 times in the last year. I usually have to switch back and forth from WIFI to LTE. I have had experience with multiple providers for internet and it really is a latitude issue. Most days everything is fine, but it happens when you least expect it. Super frustrating.
