What do you prefer playing? For me, starting with online poker, it's definitely single table. Yesterday I tried to play in two tournaments simultaneously and it didn't worked out that well.

multitabling requires a degree of concentration because you have two tables of players to watch tendencies.

generally those who do are playing a particular strategy...seeing many hands and shoving with equity to build a big stack and last til the cash....

I always play multiple tables. In online poker, to be profitable you have to play a lot of games. If you only play one table at a time, it will take a long time to see positive results.

Idk, if you play only one table you would lose concentration, spending time in browser etc... I believe few tables are better for concentation, but it also depends on a game, sometimes you have to think and make hard decisions, and multitabling isn't helping there.

You can start with 1 table if you like, but generally you should try to increase amount of tables with time

For most people multitabling comes naturally, since after a while they simply get bored with the speed of action on a single table, especially if its a full ring table with 8-9 players. And then its definitely better to add another table than to limp :js4::4s4: from UTG, because its soooted ;)

Hello, that's how I was at the beginning, now with 3-4 meals I'm doing well, but it took a while

As a newer player I agree with whats been said so far. Even just playing two tables at once can quickly feel overwhelming, especially if you are playing two hands simultaneously

🎯 Single Table

✅ Advantages:

  • Better focus and ability to read opponents.
  • Ideal for learning and improving your game.
  • Fewer decisions per minute = less fatigue.
  • More control over your bankroll.
❌ Disadvantages:

  • Lower volume = slower profits if you're a winning player.
  • Can feel boring if you're more experienced.
Who is it for?

  • Beginners/intermediate players.
  • Players looking to study or focus on quality.
  • Those who play single-table Sit & Go tournaments.

🔄 Multi-Table (2 or more tables)

✅ Advantages:

  • Higher volume = higher potential profits.
  • You can maximize your edge if you’re a winning player.
  • Less waiting time between hands.
❌ Disadvantages:

  • Requires more concentration and speed.
  • Higher risk of making mistakes.
  • Less attention to specific dynamics at each table.
Who is it for?

  • Experienced players.
  • Cash game grinders or MTT (multi-table tournament) players.
  • Those using HUDs or tracking software.

🎯 Practical recommendation:

  • If you're starting out or want to improve: play a single table and take notes.
  • Intermediate level: try 2–3 tables max and increase if you feel comfortable.
  • Advanced level: you can play 4+ tables, but always prioritize quality over quantity.

I can play in 3 tables at once, but I prefer only one because that allows me to study the other players

Depending on the format I use anything between 1 and 6. The faster the format, the less tables I play generally.

When you are multitabling it's especially important to do a session review to keep track of your ROI (return on investment) and keep track of your wellbeing with microbreaks.

For microbreaks. I do anything from eating some fruit, getting some coffee, stretching or some small chore in the house

you should always start with one table. When you get bored, you can load another table, if you see that you lack concentration for several tables, you should reduce their number to the number when you have good concentration
