How many tables do you play poker at on average?

4-6 tables on average.
It took me about 2-3 months to play 2 tables at the same time. Then, it wasn't difficult either, plus one table is about 2 months.

I was exactly the same just play what your comfortable with at the time I have played up on 10 tables at a time but really don’t enjoy it , find only play percentage poker and rarely have a feel for any of the tables I am playing at

I can play at 4-6 tables, but then my concentration really gets a little worse, so of course I think it's better to play at 1-2 tables, especially if it's an important game for you.

It depends on the tournament schedule.
If several tournaments that I am interested in are running at the same time, I can play up to 10 tables at once.
But I try not to mix the most serious tournaments with a large number of minor ones.

Used to play 2 for some time, added 3rd. It took me 1,5 year to add 4th, last week added 5th and quickly after - 6th. In July it will be 2 years I play poker. But it is just 2NL cash, all tables the same stack level. If I go higher blinds I would lower the number. Also MTT I play just 4 tables - different stack sizes require more adjustments.

playing 4 - 5 tables is good but when it's comes to read your opponent i generally play 1 - 2 tables . when you playing more tables at a time you wouldn't concentrate your opponent ranges and their strategy

2-3 tables max. Tried 5-6 before, but lost focus and started making mistakes. For me, quality matters more than playing too many tables. Slowly improving and maybe will add more later. Good luck to all! 😊
