I dont think, anyone can give a general guideline for this situation, since it will depend on, how much money is at stake, how important this money is to you, and your relationship to the person arriving on an unannounced visit as well as their reason for that visit. But in the situation outlined, I dont think, you need to fell any obligation to entertain someone, unless its an emergency. Like if your father came to tell you, that your mother just died or something. If he just came to talk, I think, its completely reasonable to ask him to come back some other time.

A really complicated situation. Games will have many others and those that may seem like small moments can be big moments.

If ur an unannounced visitor, you can't complain if the person you are visiting is busy.

You live far away and rarely receive unannounced visitors. You prepare to play in a major tournament for a month. You started from scratch with a 10-level ticket to get a $100 entry. You're the chip leader and on the tournament bubble. Suddenly, your father arrives. You haven't seen him in person for a year, only via video call, and you know he doesn't like your playing. If you don't have a father, you might substitute your mother, a sibling, another close relative, or even a friend. What do you do in this situation?
My entire family plays poker…my late parents, sisters and my son…we tried to teach my wife to play to no avail…any of my family and friends would watch me play as they visit in my computer room…but if my grandchildren come over, I drop everything…there isn’t a tournament or cash game that could take one minute from those kids.

For me, visitors are definitely more important than me

That's what I did in my case, but when I opened the table again, the chips were already gone, but I still managed to at least recover the $109 lol
maybe you should consider backing? (there is such a function on "GG") for example, you buy a share from a streamer and root for him, and even if you get distracted, it will not affect the result:D
