How do you deal with variance in online poker?

Sometimes there’s nothing you can do but laugh, because sometimes the variance is constantly unbelievable and completely unrealistic, but it does depend on the site. If you are constantly having to move down you have probably over estimated your sustainable ROI and need to increase your number of buyins.

I just play freerolls or just take a break. Two options and both are pretty good. For me, poker is a hobby, and I don't need to force myself to do something I don't want

I find it strange you cant run the community cards several times in tournaments online. In live tournaments they do it all the time it seems like.

There are a lot of options for dealing with variance, but the best one for me is to quit straight away, call your friends up and go drink until you forget about it, so you can be fresh for playing tomorow

Most of the time I just shrug it off especially when playing freerolls. I can get miffed in more expensive games. If I'm in a particularly foul mood or maybe under the influence of alcohol, I sometimes tilt, which is always wrong under any circumstance. It's a human condition though.
