I've been playing poker online since 2011 and I really don't like using software that tells me how a player or players play, I prefer old fashioned plating, analyzing it as if I were in person. I see help software as something that doesn't let you think for yourself. But I only use one to analyze if my hand was strong or not in my position at tables, although I prefer to discuss it in the forum.

And what do you think?

Using a Hud while playing On-line poker might be a helpful tool to use, but as you say it can only do so much, and if you come to rely on it, What are you going to use in a Live event? Big Tournaments especially in a Casino are run very strict and if you infringe on the rules it can become costly, They are nothing like On-line Poker and certainly nothing like a Saturday night Game with your Friends.
I have seen other players using Huds On-line and once they are in a Live game they don't know what the hell to do in some situations and freeze up. I don't like "Calling the Clock" on any player, but have had to in some Live games because they are unsure on what they should do.
Learn to think and analyse the hands for yourself, working out the possible outs you have, and the probable odds of winning, and sometimes just use your own instincts in whether to Call or Fold!
That is what makes Poker so much Fun!

That's what I'm talking about colleagues, seeing, observing and analyzing with my mind, and I think that here we can exchange opinions about hands and analyze them ourselves because, as the colleague says, in Vivo we wouldn't know what to do.

I think if you're playing 2nl, 5nl and maybe even 10nl or micro $1-$2 MTT's you really don't need a HUD to win. Personally HUD's are also old school as they've been around 15+ years easy. I use to use Holdem Manager 2(there was Holdem Manager before that). Now I use and prefer Poker Tracker 4. Honestly only helps me multi-table as I find it easy in my mind to keep track of a 6-10 player single table so much once I start double tabling then I struggle. The HUD will also keep track of winnings/loses and bankroll progress growth.

If you're not using one online above 5nl in 2023 you're at a disadvantage I think. Besides they're also great for helping one study and improve. "Leak Buster" in PT4's software is amazing tool for helping improve ones game and give you more or less AI coaching which is based off hands you played.

Cheers!!!

I don't like em! I try to wherever possible, to use sites that do not allow analytics in any form. I play a lot of live poker at any rate. Sometimes I play like sh!t and I usually know why without some machine telling me!

hard choice sometimes I think the program is cool because it does a lot of things for you and you just see and you can cut half the work for yourself, but sometimes it can be wrong and can be fooled by a person so I think old-school playing with your head and mind is better and I never use poker software

I have never used a HUD. And I prefer to play on sites that don't use them or where you can be anonymous.

I can usually get a read on people faster than they get a read on me so my edge is greater without any technological assistance or tools.

Not a fan. Also I’ve recently completely changed my style of play so hopefully the HUDs show me as a looser player than I am 😂
