I've been thinking about playing cache or online tournaments for some time now, but I can't decide where exactly, weigh the different options, and I'm more inclined to tournaments, and where do you play?

There are several strategy differences between cash and MTT and there are also several logistical differences.
Logistics; MTT you have to play as long as the MTT runs often 10hrs--Cash you can play and stop and then play again---MTT you lose often and it can be days or weeks between wins--cash you can have daily wins

Strategy---Cash you play 100bb poker chip ev strategy MTT you play 100bb poker 60bb poker 30bb poker 20bb poker 10bb poker and not just chip ev poker but also ICM based poker

Cash is much easier to study than MTT and be good enough to win

Of course I vote for MTT tournaments. This is my table because I don't like cash games

Cash is more fun and more flexible. MTTs take too long and short stack play is quite dull

I get that—tournaments can definitely be appealing, and honestly, they usually come with a bit less risk compared to cash games, especially if you manage your bankroll well. I lean more toward tournaments myself for that reason—they offer structure, a clear buy-in, and less chance of going on a deep downswing in one session.

it depends on each person, I think that tournaments are safer to win money, but they also take much longer, on the other hand playing with money is simpler, you can double in a matter of minutes, but you can also lose everything in seconds... in my personal case I like tournaments better, people in cash play very tight, boring!!!

I actually only play in tournaments, and I usually choose either 888 or GGPoker. I don't like cash games because they are not as profitable for me.
