Bad beat pot online

I know GG poker has a version of this but why don’t we see more of this from online poker sites?? Tournaments but more importantly cash games should have this. Thoughts?

I agree with the author. Especially when a player gets knocked out in a deep run due to a bad beat, the site could give out a consolation prize

Why do you think this feature should be available?
I think poker sites are not interested in additional costs, they usually are not. What you're offering is an additional cost, and perhaps the most important thing for poker sites is not what their players think, but what their financial and CEO thinks

A good version. Players need encouragement to avoid falling into a tilt during a bad beat. Especially after a well-played hand.

I agree with you, after many rooms practically force you to spend money to play, there should be a greater benefit that you could get for your money.

It is all about money, like everything. To pay for bad beats they 1st need to take a rake payment for it. Rake at GG is extremely high, so they can pump alot of money into different kind of promotions (bad beat included). So, considering definite majority of players are loosing, this looks like a pretty smart move, and so the platform is very popular.

Suppose you mean bad beat jackpot, like many brick and mortar casinos have? I dont know. On one hand I am for everything, that can make more people play poker for fun. But on the other site bad beat jackpots are usually financed by an extra rake or drop. Which makes it more difficult for good players to beat the game, unless they bink the jackpot.

So in that sense its a bit like the popular lottery style Spin n Gos. Which of course we cant prevent sites from offering or people from playing. But their introduction did not do any favours to winning SnG players, and I kind of feel, that this is the same thing. So overall its not something, I would want more sites to do, if I was a cash game player. Unless of course its a promotion, and they pay it out of their existing rake.
