I'd love to see the Hand History for this tournament. Why don't you post up some hands from it? (or a link to a video of the entire Hand History)

Amazeballs!
If it's a specific type of spot, just let me know and I'll share it here.
But unfortunately, my HH only reviews people I know and have some conversation with.
And that's the most I can do for someone with a restricted profile.

Yesterday I managed to qualify for day 2.
If I don't make it to the money in this tournament, it will be the last major tournament of the year...
I managed to qualify in 9th place... I passed with almost 50BB.
And let's go, it starts from here...
I'll be back soon with more news...

Hello Friends!!!

Today I bring you the balance of my live tournaments for the year 2024.

I wanted to end with a bankroll of 3k, but if I ended the year in a draw I would be satisfied.

I ended with -R$190.00, but I consider the year to be very productive, especially due to the results of the prizes won.

May this year achieve better numbers....
And remembering and thanking CC, as many paid tournaments were played with the prizes from our freerolls.

THANK YOU CARDSCHAT !!!!

Watching this Fantastic video with @Ashley Sleeth and I learned a lot ...

📹 Top Tips for Beginner Poker Players In Their First Live Game 📹

And as I'm starting live as well as our friend, @Sheepshaker !!!!

I was curious about one thing, online tournament I have my routine depending on the game, the time... whether it's taking care of my food and mental preparation too...

I wanted to know with the other friends of the forum, which tips they can indicate to be done in the pre-game.

Looking to enter the live game well prepared mentally and physically.

And thank you all for this amazing video, especially for @Ashley Sleeth !!!!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!
Biggest for me is the eat sleep thing but after hit 40s noticed flying in needed 2 days recovery to vegas instead of the goto casino as get there....at one time before 40s go right to tables early 40s like 42 started needing a 3 hour to 6 hour sleep....mid 40s needed a day then late 40s needed two days honestly flying was too much on my body I guess at that point :)

Rest is really important...
Even to play some tournaments that last 2 days... without the proper rest... on day 2 I felt like a ZOMBIE. lol
And I feel what you said... today at 47 years old...
And still facing a tough game with my parents and my master's degree... A master's degree that I can't finish and my parents have dementia... one is well advanced and the other is average.
But that's the cool thing about poker, it teaches us to be an extremely adaptable person...
I'm still a bit too reactive with the things in my day to day life...
And unfortunately this has been affecting my game...
As a friend of mine says: A poker player is like bread dough, it only grows when it gets beaten...
lol

This year I decided that I won't keep a spreadsheet to track anything...
I decided that the money I earn in online freerolls will pay for my live tournaments.
And next week I'll have my first tournament: BIG CHANCE 100K GTD
Buy In: R$ 100.00
Double: R$: 100.00

I'll enter with double the maximum chips possible, because it will be a 2-day tournament.
I'll play on Day 1 on Thursday and if I pass the final day it will be Sunday.

Let's go because I want it to be easier this year...
Both with my parents' health problems... and with the Master's problems.

So be it!

Unfortunately, the tournament was not the best.
I have had a problem with my sciatica since the beginning of the year... and it got worse during this tournament.
I had to stop playing tennis and other things.
Just like last year, at this time, I had problems with my neck and PC...
But we are continuing with the treatment... and practicing patience...

I'm happy to come back here to inform you that at the end of this month I'll be back in the most EV tournament that exists in the club I play in.

The BIG CHANCE 100K GTD tournament, Buy in: $100, Double: $200.

I got $400 to try for two days.

First of all, I'd like to thank Cardschat, because it was through the CC tournaments that I managed to get this bankroll together.

More news soon.

Unfortunately, I was unable to participate in the tournament.

Some personal and family issues have been plaguing me and needing a lot of my attention.

For now, poker will take a back seat, whenever possible and, when possible, as long as I can stay available.

My parents' mental health has gotten much worse...

The live tournaments will only be held in freerolls...

The freeroll has changed format, now it's a BOMB POT, so it's even more dynamic... let's see how I'll adapt.

And a lot for the affection and attention of everyone who sent me private messages.

Total gratitude!!

Lsd causes new outer brain pathways to be created and the brain to speak cross sectionally. The psilocybin resets the inner cortex. Nothing I say is medical advice or should be practiced.

I've decided to start posting my progress in live tournaments here again.

Yesterday, I played a bomb pot freeroll, which has a jackpot for four, straight flush, and royal.
With my four-of-a-kind, I got entry to a 100,000 GTD tournament.

My live tournaments will now be free, and the proceeds will be reinvested in better tournaments.

My "best" tournaments will be considered:
  • Tournaments with 30-minute blinds;
  • Tournaments with a high guarantee;
  • No ADD-ON;

Because this structure, depending on the field, allows me to perform well and have plenty of room for improvement.

In some specific situations, I might allocate a portion of the bankroll I build with CardsChat funds to these live tournaments.

Today I'm just here to share a little about my poker journey as I'm recovering from my right eye.

For two months, with the amount of medication, anxiety about getting better, and a few surgeries, I haven't been able to focus at all. The doctors have already informed me that much of this is due to the excess cortisone...
But we're continuing the fight, and whenever I can, I'll be playing live and online. Online, I still have some challenges, due to the brightness of the screen, which greatly affects my vision...

And this is what my pupil has been like for almost two months, after taking a serve, in tennis, directly to the eye....

I'm still waiting for one last surgery, which will be for a cataract, as the impact caused a traumatic cataract....
