Keeping a good poker face means showing no emotion, whether you have a great hand or a terrible one. It’s like being a stone statue! At the same time, spotting tells means watching small body language signs your opponents give away—like shaky hands or nervous eye movements.

Think you can hide your excitement or catch a tell?
- Have you ever laughed with a monster hand?
- What’s the funniest tell you’ve seen?
- Is reading tells or having a poker face more important?

Tell me your stories on your best reads and times when you made others to fold with smiling lips.

This is my only story related to tells (Body language).

I had just read a book written by Phil Hellmuth and some guy who used to work for the FBI, he's known too but I forgot his name now, and I was playing a tournament in some club.

At a certain point, some guy shoved on me on the river, his move didn't make much sense to me, but he had me covered. I couldn't get any info from him, he wasn't moving or talking and was covering his face with both his hands. That was when I remembered one thing from the book. The feet. I got up, went around the table, and his feet were exactly where they weren't supposed to be according to the FBI guy. They were both behind the chair's front legs. As soon as I said "call", he said "Shit" and threw his cards in the muck. That was a nice double up!

Wow that was sneaky, he did everything possible from his side yet you found the way out - superb.

I think I am pretty decent in keeping my tells for me so no one else at the table recognizes what I have but I mean with casino games this is not too important anyway.

I have to confess that I haven't played a lot of live poker tournaments (compared to online poker of course). But I have won one of them. It was a freeroll with about 200 players. So my emotions aren't that easy to read. But I didn't wear dark glasses at the poker table or put on a hoodie to make my face less visible. But I think I know how to hide my emotions and even replace them.

While I appreciate the live tells, I also think its difficult to play in the same fashion for hours. The live players that are good at tells will watch everything from the vein in your neck, to if your shoulders are moving, how far out you placed your chips, to how you hold your cards, etc, etc.
