Canadian Tournaments

I've been wanting to play live poker, but I live in northern canada where I am a 1000 km or more away from any casino. The closest casino that hosts regular poker tournaments, daily and weekly, is about 3000 km away. I would like to plan an annual trip. I was hoping someone on here had some experience and opinions with any western Canadian spots for great poker. Also, are there any larger tournaments that are played In Canada, like high roller buy-ins?

The wsop Circuit event series starts in Calgary at the Deerfoot Inn on Oct.1 (til' Oct.13).

You can discover other series in Alberta on the 'Poker Atlas' web page. There's quite a few good tournament series in both Calgary & Edmonton.
