In this game, not always the one with the best cards wins, but the one who knows how to wait, read his rivals and make cold decisions under pressure. Every hand is an opportunity to learn and improve.

Mostly facts, unfortunately there is something called variance...which is what makes the game appealing to the loose cannons...

The winner is the one who can impose his own rules on his opponent... Inconvenient and not giving time to make the right decisions)

Totally, it involves a lot of discipline, a lot of persistence and, above all, you should never stop studying the mental key, in which every mistake made is an opportunity for improvement.

Nothing like sitting at the table with a good cup of coffee and waiting for the exact moment to strike. Poker is patience, strategy... and a little bit of madness

Mainly in tournament, cash game is more fast and you can let out in any time.

I agree with the thread author! But this is only one side of poker, which is seen by more tight players. I used to think that way, just like the thread author. I liked to play slowly, just enjoying the game. But in reality, poker is a game where you have to take time into account, as the number of blinds in the stack decreases. The right balance between aggressive and tight play can get you to the final table.

Poker certainly depends on luck, but this dependence is relative. In my opinion, it depends much more on our skills.

I really started doing better when I started learning to be patient. I used to rush things, thinking I had to make something happen, leading to just overall bad plays and losing sessions. I learned patience from my wife because she would pound that in my head, “just be patient, think about what to do instead of doing it automatically” she was right and learning that skill definitely turned my game around.
