Hello everyone. I'm just starting to play poker. Tell me if on utg I made 3 bet with AA, and on the button I made all in with KK. Is it possible to play like that?

Going all in with AA or KK preflop if you are the first one to raise is going to depend on a lot of factors. The big one is how many big blinds do you have. If you have like 10-15 it’s ok to jam. If you have more than that then generally just do a normal raise. I do see players jamming all in with 200 big blinds and guess what no one calls. So study stack size strategies and this should help you. Good luck.

I limp with AA KK, sometimes I limp from early position if the table is more aggressive and I'm confident someone will raise, then I 3-bet, but a lot depends on how I play, how many I have, what stage the tournament is at

As usually, it's hard to answer such a question without details. Strategies are highly situational, and while some of the time details won't matter that much, they often do. You will play much differently if you have 10BB at the late stage of the tournament and when you're deep stacked in a cash game. 3-betting or 4-betting with pocket aces is a standard play, so I don't see anything wrong with it in most contexts. All in with kings is not uncommon, but it depends on the situation. Were you a first raiser? Was it after a raise? After a 3-bet?

As people already said in the thread, to all-in or not to all-in depends on a lot of factors. But what is true is that you definitely want to 3bet with AA and KK and you should basically never fold them pre.

Also side note, you should size your 3bets correctly. 3bet around x3 of the initial raise, I often see newbies 3betting 3BB over 2BB raise, which is not going to work.

i dont like to go all in preflop unless i am short on chips, you dont scare players off when you are low, so you usually get a call. and then its up to the gods!

Excellent topic! It used to overplay AA and KK after the flop, especially when the table was low and coordinated.
Now I try to be more cautious if I get paid several times before the flop; sometimes, simply placing a small bet in a row and evaluating the turn helps.
Plus, with KK, I'm always on the lookout for that dreaded Ace on the flop 😅
I'm curious: do you guys slow down with AA if the flop is very wet (like 789 with two sticks)?
