What premium cards you need to hold, to re raise x2bb for every limp caller in 8 players table?

From the blinds I typically only isolate with strong hands like AT+, A9s, KQ, KJs, 88+ or something like this. But it also depends on the stack depth and the number of limpers. I am a bit conservative here, because its free to see a flop in BB, and cheap to complete from SB. So by making a big raise, we are sometimes just helping the limpers by building a bit pot, when they have position on us.

In position I more or less ignore the limp and just open the range, I would normally open from that position, but I add 1BB for each limper. Sometimes I limp behind with a small pair, and if there are several limpers, I will tighten up. How much depend on stack sizes and the whole situation in general. For instance I am always a bit on alert, if a tight regular suddenly limp, because it could be a trap with AA or KK.

In a full 8-player table, I’d usually re-raise limpers with solid hands like TT+, AK, and even AQ/ATs for value. Against weaker limpers, ATo can also be profitable. The goal is to apply pressure and build the pot when I evaluate my hand ahead, while not bloating it unnecessarily with marginal hands.

First off we are not "re-raising" anything here, we are raising (i.e. putting in a raise over the calls), sorry to be pedantic but you want culture a precise thought process and that starts with being able to talk about spots precisely.

An important factor to consider is how many limp-folds are you likely to get. This can help shape your range.

If the same group of players are limping and all folding every time you put in a heavy raise you can seriously widen your range to just about anything you are comfortable playing in position (SB/BB can still wake up with a hand now and then).

More likely you are in a very loose game and players aren't generally limping to fold, in which case you want a strong range if you are almost certain to get one or two callers and an even stronger range (weighted to nut making hands such as suited Ace+Broadway, not QJs etc.) if you are constantly get 3 or more calling.

You haven't said if you are thinking about cash or tournaments, but I'd leave a table where I'm getting 3+ limpers then callers every time if it was a cash game as your edge is significantly reduced.
