You can definitely improve your poker game without a coach, though it may take more time and effort.

yeah of course... I do think it helps to have someone else look at your hands though,

you can also track your own hands and look at problem spots but other perspectives

can be very helpful but you certainly don't have to pay for it...

Of course it is, just play lots of poker and even if you'll never be a pro your game
will naturally improve with time, just play and play and play.

Without any kind of training will require lots and lots of experience, which will cost lots and lots of money. So you don’t necessarily need to hire a coach but the more you study and train the better off you will be if you want to win money and take this game seriously.

Study, but no limit is largely a matter of luck - bad luck the last week for the most part.

If you can use the tools effectively, you might not need a coach.
However, I believe having someone who can point out your mistakes and teach you how to use the tools will help you learn faster.

Absolutely! You can improve your game without a coach by taking advantage of the many free and paid resources available — books, training videos, online courses, and forums where you can discuss hands and strategies with other players. Consistently studying and reviewing your own hands is one of the best ways to grow as a player, especially if you're honest about your mistakes and actively seek to learn from them.

That said, having a coach can speed up the process and help you identify leaks more efficiently. But if you’re motivated and disciplined, self-study can take you a long way. Many strong players started out without coaches — they just put in the time, stayed curious, and kept learning.

Yes, you can improve your poker game without a coach, although it will take more effort and time. The basic steps include studying theory, practicing, analyzing your game, and using free resources.

Of course you can.
If you are patient, disciplined, attentive and consistent enough, if you are willing to work extra hours, spend 2-3 hours a day analysing your own game and your own mistakes. This is a rather difficult but effective way to self-improvement.

The coach can save your time, but you yourself can find the information you need.

I'm a poker novice. What I observed is that:
In weeks that I only had time to play (that is, I improved through experience alone) I had more losses than in weeks that I studied before playing. This thread is great for you to have as a study guide. I would also recommend the learning hub for more depth.

There are a ton of free resources available, from poker books, sites that offer free training, the CC training program, reviewing your hands with sng tool and/or a solver, to posting hands on a poker forum like CC.

It depends on the person. If you are highly sensitive and have much more sensitivity than other people, you don't need a coach.
